Didn't Axel Mode feature her as a would-be actor?
Her idol thing isn't exactly new, but slightly changing her goal and having her fail in it isn't anything new either.
@Timeline: Its entirely possible that D4 is roughly in the same timeline as one which was ordered by game. 1 then 2 then 3.. etc.
You only problem is when DD 2 has Fallen Angel Flonne. She was Archangel Flonne in D4. That brings the question of if DD 2 was before D4...
Or equally possible if Flonne fell back into Demon status. Flonne did without any spoilers, do enough to make her a Fallen Angel again even if they never showed it.
It was stated shortly before release that DD2 took place not that long after the first game, and interactions with the D4 cast post-game makes it quite clear that it is indeed prior to that story's events.
Have fun trying to justify Sicily, though.

"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyFlonne was a Fallen Angel and an Archangel in D3 postgame, including both at once in Raspberyl Mode. She just switched between the outfits whenever it was necessary.
Her outfit in the D3 Raserface mode was her Angel Trainee outfit actually and...well, the exaggerated voice she uses when being an "Archangel" makes me think she wasn't actually Archangel at the time and was basically just playing along.
(Heck, she probably even wasn't back to being an Angel yet, if the "has to leave to change clothes" scene is any indication)
Personally, I don't think we will ever get any time frame for D4 other than "after D3". Hell, we don't even know when D3 is set (though my theory is that it is set during D2, since D3 and Dark Hero Days has a kinda "mutually post game" approach to its cameos from the other game.)
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.She's called the new archangel. I think that's a good hint that maybe she was the new archangel. Unless after they kicked out Vulcanus they got a new archangel who later got fired and then she became archangel because she did a really good job at pretending to be an archangel.
We meet Vulcanus' replacement in DD2, actually.
Pff. I'm still going with Flonne being the archangel in D3 already.
I admit, it's been a while, but doesn't no one call her the Archangel until Raserface does so? (Raserface who, well, wouldn't know better?)
Shrug. I think this and her role in Infinite were just them testing the waters for her Archangel role in D4, and not meant to be taken completely seriously.
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.But but she hands out business cards!
@Otherarrow: The Celestia Prinnies do. Sure, they don't drop her name, but I can't think of anyone else in Celestia they'd call "rather strange".
Shrug.
Seriously, ya'll be taking that scene way too seriously, especially since it's blatantly obviously meant to be a joke (seriously she fucking changes costumes mid-scene)
To contrast, I think Fallen Angel Flonne in D4 is explicitly a Flonne from the past, and not a "alternate costume" to Archangel Flonne (compare Tyrant Valzy and Valzy; contrast Asagi and HD Asagi).

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.She's called an archangel. She later appears as an archangel. She gives out an archangel business card. I don't see why we shouldn't consider her an archangel.
They just didn't have Pure Flonne thought up or designed back then.
Easily Hand Waved by saying she just chooses not to use that form for one reason or another (i.e., practicality.)
Both sides are taking this way too seriously, though.
Actually, I'm just holding to the position because I don't think Disgaea really gives a crap about continuity anyway. Like I would not be surprised if they did another remake of the first game and then made a Flonne Mode where she becomes an archangel or had her appear in postgame as an alternate form or something.
Edit: To put it another way, it's like with Fuka being able to keep up with demons because she's using 100% of her powers or whatever since she thinks she's dead. Disgaea largely runs on nonsense and plays everything for a joke, including giving silly inconsistent answers for everything. Fuka doesn't really need that when you already have Almaz, Sapphire and Gordon running around, but since it's funny they just run with it.

Clearly, the explanation is that Gorden, Almaz, etc, are just that strong and would be gamebreakingly powerful if they were in Fuka's delusional state of mind.
Also, Fuka doesn't think she is dead. She thinks she is in a dream, and thus nothing she does is real and nothing has any consequences.
Also, continuity in Disgaea is weird. It wants to have continuity until it would be more convenient/funny to ignore that it has continuity. Like, they want to have their cake and eat it too.

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.Yeah, that's what I meant. She refuses to admit she's dead and insists it's a dream. Misspoke.
I guess it probably has the basics in regards to continuity but otherwise doesn't care. Most of the timeline shenanigans are postgame stuff, after all.
Most current picture seems to confirm it to be a Vita title.
Why did she spill crackers all over the floor?
Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.The summer greetings card is out.
Reeks of edge and Disgaea 5.
Well that's certainly a cast.
In any case, glad to see that Harada's clearly still around.

DD2 oddly has her complaining more about not being an idol rather than not being a main character, so there's that.
