You get like 3 pairs of Boots handed to you between path bonuses and the free A Gift From Anna DLC; give at least one pair to her and she gets a lot better. Moving intelligently to abuse Sing efficiently helps.

Also, Warp Azura is lulzy.

@Best Girls: Top fav First Gens are tied between Azura and Elise, with the rest (in no particular order) being Camilla, Sakura, Felicia, Selena, and Charlotte. Favorite Second Gen is Kana, with Sophie, Mitama, and Soleil being the secondaries. Velouria is an honorable mention for her Dwyer supports being good (though then again pretty much every Dwyer support is good).

I haven't seen any mention of Beruka or Mitama, so you all fail at life.

Beruka's okay. She has some good supports but she doesn't stick out to me.

I edited in a Mitama mention along with a Second Gen list. She's like Dwyer in that she has a ton to good supports along with being entertaining in general.

I am liking Mitama's supports, yeah. At least on the Hoshidan side so far.

Dwyer is S-class, as far as I'm concerned.

Interesting thing about Azura, someone found out she has a unique outfit for her Sky Knight class, but neither of her Sky Knight promotions.

And she's better than a gale force in that Galeforce requires a solo kill to trigger, and doesn't grant slight stat boosts. I'm serious, the stat bonuses have sometimes been the difference between a speed tie, and getting doubled.

Dancers can make your staff users move twice, that's gamebreaking in itself. They also lengthen your foot unit's movements, making recruiting easier.

Azura being the dancer with the best availability makes her even more gamebreaking.

There are plenty of those. For example, Takumi's swordmaster outfit is Sumeragi's, and that's despite being unable to naturally reclass into it.

Chapters 13x-14

Turns out the dragon chapters weren't much more difficult compared to Hard (except Ch.14), that's because those chapters were difficult even on Hard. The only difference is Minerva failed to OHKO mages and got doubled by wyverns without Capricorn.

pretty much any weapon that isn't standard/siege will be forged with +4 Might and +20 Hit from Chapter 15 onward

on Lunatic even the standard weapons will be forged

So, that's where Awakening's tendency to give every enemy and their mother forges came from.

I think it goes back to Shadow Dragon.

Ah, yeah, that'd make sense. I didn't like the game enough to play it more than once, though I've often entertained the thought of replaying it just to tackle the hardest difficulty. But then I feel like I'd rather spend the time tweaking my Awakening or Conquest strats. Too many things, so little time.

4 Might 20 Hit is downright tame compared to Awakening's haxforges though (hello there 23 Might 85 Hit Silver Axe)

Well, the total increase for the 10-increment hackforges there is +8 Mt and +20 Hit. Frightening, yes, but it's also only +4 Mt over those other forges (most enemies bring +4 Mt and +10 Hit until... I think C23, though).

True. The enemies kind of need it, though. They typically don't bring good skill builds and even with the inflated stats, their class heavily influences their growths, meaning many of the enemies will have very mediocre offense. Even with the hackforges, it's not especially hard for player units (especially Robin) to outrun the curve so hard that said hackforges are doing single-digit damage (if any).

Poison Strike/Grizly Wound/Savage Blow solved a lot of these issues such that Conquest enemies no longer need hackforges to be threatening (granted, a few of them do get hacked 1~2-range weapons).

quick, help me decide on naming my unit for my next playthrough of FE 12:

Since I'm playing in Japanese I have a five kana limit on MU's name, so I've narrowed it down to:

• Trisha (トリシャ)
• Angela (アンジェラ)
• Philippa (フィリッパ)
• Roxana (ロクサナ)
• Bianca (ビアンカ)
• Andrea (アンドレア)

you can suggest a different name, but the name can't be from an existing Fire Emblem character, that it must end in an "a" sound, and it must obey the five-kana limit

I also picked farmer-kindness-recluse too.

Maybe Angela for the kindness part.

There's also the fact that they're free to use forged weaponry, because they don't have to worry about their weaponry stocks (you only get 10 hand axes, they don't). By hacked weapons, do you mean ones that have higher stats than they should be allowed, or those enemy exclusive weapons that are simply standard weapons with a 1-2 range?

Yeah, I'm talking about the enemy-exclusive weapons. I compare them because they do more than they normally should, just like Awakening hackforges are stronger than a player can ever make.

Repeatedly overwhelmed by reinforcement in chapter 16, so I decided to just open the door, kill everything between me and the throne, and warp Marth over there. So I could only open one chest. A speedwing.

MU is capable of ORKO a berserker with a Levin Sword. I'm so proud.

This is a little late, but I've had some unexpected delays alongside one that was expected this week. At least I got it together before tonight's run, right? Anyway, this run should have been deathless and was even behaving a lot like one that had less-than-average Mag, but then Sumia got chumped by a freak Anathema crit. This led to some interesting shenanigans in trying to cover for her absence in my strats. The most unfortunate part is that the run was sub-8, so without those issues, I might have been able to get a PB. Ah, well.

In other news, I finally got the Amiibo reader and was able to scan Marth.... after spending 20 minutes getting the thing to connect

So the first choice gives Marth's tiara as an accessory.... which one gives Marth as a unit the second one? Also, how does Lucina and Robin's work?
