I'm disappointed there was no Dawn Dragon fight.

So I just looked at an entry on the ymmv page about a fan translation patch on Fates.

"in particular one early line was translated as "you bitch" if the Avatar was female."

This honestly sounds hilarious.

I know Game Xplain and Polygon have done a few streams and videos of the game, but I haven't watched any of them to check for any loading issues.

okay this is like the only place on the internet ive seen that isnt up in arms about there being no dual-audio

FE 12 is the Monsho no Nazo DS remake, Fates is FE 14.

Because nobody really cares? Things like that makes me think this is an anime coming out and not a game.

With the new direction they are taking with Awakening and this, I'd say the difference between the two is pretty subtle these days.

...Well, okay, that was probably a bit meaner than it should've been. Been getting too little sleep lately. Still feeling like FE is selling mostly girls and shipping these days.

Anyhow, I would've appreciated dual audio, because if I have to listen to nonsensical catchphrases performed by bored actors, I'd rather do so in a language I can't understand so that it's easer to shut out. Then again, if Awakening had dual audio, I'd never get to hear Henry's delightfully cheery "I'm gonna kill you!", and I definitely think that I would've been a poorer person for it. I guess if the English performance is good, it's fine.

What do you mean "if Awakening had dual audio?" Fire Emblem: Awakening does have dual audio.

I've heard that the reason Fire Emblem Fates doesn't have dual audio is because of licensing issues with Renka's song. Not exactly sure how true that statement is, but it does make some sense.

Well, I already figured I probably shouldn't look for it on the inventory screen.

Seriously, though, I just didn't know about it going in and never looked for it.

I am willing to bet less liscencing, and more they ran out of cart space.

@New Skinship: Thought the idea was stupid, but actually seeing it, I say it's a fair compromise.

This is exactly the kind of change I wanted for the system, so I'm completely down with this.

Not to mention that gameplay wise, it's much better. You get the support boost instantly instead of wasting time rubbing your DS.

So I was doing the final Walhart Map, when the time to kill Excellus finally came. I managed to get Say-ri into position, and she even had Amatsu....which I forgot to use.

I immediately turned off the game, and plan to do the map again. There's no point if I don't kill him with that sword.

Damn it, fucking surgery made me miss the Fates Special edition again.

Fates is a single game with 3 campaigns. You are asking if there is a version with all 3 from the get go, right?

That would be the Special Edition, which has been, for all intents and purposes, sold out since November.
