Love that line. The translators did good work with that.
There's probably a dozen or so Hector quotes but I can't remember them off the top of my head.
I totally forgot about Teach getting Tenure.
I'm ashamed.
Lets also remember ''Enter the Vaike."
I remember it cause when I got S support with Vaike and Maribelle, he said it while sticking out his tongue.
Since then, I've only had dirty thoughts about what happens next.
One Strip! One Strip!Favourite quotes?
Marth: “No, that would not do. Today is a momentous day for my kingdom and my people. I must celebrate with them now, not later. Anything else would be a disservice to those who died to save Altea. I am a prince before I am a son or a brother. Come, Malledus. Let us go greet my people.”
And also, a similar scene but with the exact opposite meaning from Sacred Stones:
Seth: “…They’re not cheering for you. They cheer because Orson’s misrule is at an end. They cheer the possibility of a better tomorrow, not the deeds we did today. But how will the hearts of the people move tomorrow and the next day? That is for you to decide.”
And one last:
Sigurd:“…Get to know the people’s sorrow. Your reality and theirs are still worlds apart. …If you can’t accomplish that, Celice, then this whole war has been for nothing.”

Is this a Jo Jo reference?Someone already said my favorite voice clip. SEE HOW MY MOUSTACHE MOVES IN THE WIND!!
I'm also fond of Vaike's stuff. "Enter the Vaike!" and "It's Vaike time!" in particular.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I'm rather fond of Ike's threat to Ashera.
“So that’s how it’s going to be, huh? Then we will fight…and we will save our people. Make your peace with whatever the gods worship. Your end is near”
as well as what he says when she revives
“I don’t need encouragement. I’d fight to the end no matter what. Ashera, you can’t stop me. It doesn’t matter if you’re a goddess. It doesn’t matter if I have no way to win. Fighting defines me, and I will not lose.”
Those are the only ones that haven't already been mentioned by others that spring to mind right now.

Oh God! Natural light!Favorite quotes? Aw, there's like, so many... Every game I've played has remarkable quotes. I'm gonna bet that Gaiden also had awesome quotes. Oh well, have some Sacred Stones for now!
Caellach: “You’re a stepping-stone… And I’m moving up. Don’t take it personally.”
Innes: “…You’re one of Carcino’s councilmen. Trying to trap me is a mistake. Failing, an expensive one. I think it’s time for you to learn how expensive.”
Selena: “Me? Die? Prince Ephraim, you misunderstand me. I have no intention of dying. Madness though it may be, I will be the one doing the killing today.”
Cormag: “How can I not? I’ve dreamt of revenge, chased it for days… And now it’s here before me. Oh, Valter… Your death will be slow and agonizing.”
Lyon: “Heh heh… What a splendid fool you make. Shall I dress you in a jester’s cap? Shall we watch you jape in my demon’s court? Lyon is dead. I devoured him. Can you not understand?”
L’Arachel: “Do you think your words will frighten me? I am the princess L’Arachel! Slaying demons is my forte! You who have sold your soul to the soulless… I grant you release from your wretched existence.”
Eirika: “Enough. Hold your tongue. I… We, the people of Renais, have long honored our allegiance with the Grado Empire. And you invaded without warning. You ravaged our land. You killed my father… Even then, I told myself, I must not hate Grado or her people. If I gave in to my hate, the bond between our lands would be lost forever. I refused to hate. Instead, I lived for the day our nations would know peace again. But… If this is Grado’s true face… If you could extinguish Renais without pity, without remorse… If this is the case, then there is no room in my heart for forgiveness.”
Lute: “Magic is far more powerful than any monster’s claws. The thickest hide and the strongest armor are useless against magic’s power. Yes, I supposed I could have studied swords, but only magic is worthy of me. Even if this village were to be assaulted by monsters, I could defend it perfectly.”
Rennac: “What’s shameful is the way you drag us around the countryside.”
Knoll: "There are as many truths out there as there are people to tell them. Perhaps it’s best simply to choose the truth with which you are most comfortable."
Knoll: "…Spoken like a true cleric. You would drop everything without hesitation just to help others. This is the difference between mages and priests. Knowledge versus sacrifice."
And this was just a practice swing. My favorite quotes are enough to fill a house!
I'm replaying Awakening because why not. Frederick just makes things so much easier. Bosses are pretty much jokes.
"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018This part of Chrom's recruitment convo for Secret Trickster is my favorite of the three, though they're all good. I also like Chrom and Frederick's conversation after Secret Great Knight's chapter.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!Pitting Chrom and Walhart against each other in either of the two chapters at the end of the Valm arc is pretty great- I especially love the Title Drop in The Sword or the Knee.
I sure said that!Hmmm, most of my favourites have been listed already, including, but not limited to the whole "Ike, father of Sothe's children" one and "Pick a god and pray".
I guess a couple off the top of my head would be:
- When Fred calls Robin out on the amnesia with "It's called a load of pegasus dung." Because he could just say a censored version of horse shit, it had to specifically be "pegasus", which just leaves me with the mental image of a pegasus dropping a load while flying overhead, bird style. I dunno why Fred being so specifically crass amuses me, but it does.
- And I don't have the specific script (and, unfortunately, Serenes doesn't have it up, either), but there's one where Ranulf asks Ike if he got the suzerain state thing correct and Ike's all "Don't look at me. I thought the whole thing was stupid in the first place." I may enjoy jabs at politics a bit much. >.>
I do love how snarky Ike is. 'Tis a shame that's basically all he has going for him in RD sadly.
http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/lb_i.php?lb_id=13239183440B34964700 Alfric's Fire Emblem Liveblog Encyclopedia!Oh, Ranulf gets some wonderful lines too.

RE: chapter 5 awakening.
on that map, on hard mode, all but 6 enemies (the boss, two wyvern riders and 3 infantry surrounding a fort on the 3rd pass) immediately rush towards you, whether you've entered their range or not. on the 3rd turn's enemy phase 3 reinforcements appear and immediately make a b-line for you. on the enemy phase of the 4th turn, 2 wyvern riders spawn and make a b-line for you. on the enemy phase of either the 5th or 6th turn (i wasnt paying proper attention here), 3 more reinforcements arrive, again immediately making a b-line for you.
the boss and the other 5 enemies never move as long as you do not approach their territory. however, as ive seen the boss begin moving without me entering his range, im assuming entering the range of either of his wyvern riders triggers his movement. this is just a guess however, since ive yet to check it out.
all in all, its a pretty hard map. biggest trap is stopgapping the first pass and keeping most of your units near the right side of the starting area; those tree's prevent movement that could be better served getting them within range of killing wyvern riders. though of course, stopgapping the pass is a good idea, even frederick is going to need healing eventually and yet keeping other units nearby to take the pressure off can get them killed because mage/wyvern bullshit.
so basically i need to give frederick an elixer, rescue ricken and maribelle and then push westward and just deal with the 3 waves of reinforcements (minus 2 enemies) and hopefully, nobody will die this time.

Yep, aggroing any of the stationary Wyverns will aggro the whole group of them. Oddly enough, the Myrm, Barb and Dark Mage near that topmost shiny tile are unconnected. It's pretty easy to get the Dark Mage to Leeroy off on his own by approaching from the east.
As for healing, if you run out of Elixir and are willing to give up another Rescue use, you could do something like have Maribelle run up and Mend Fred, then have Lissa Rescue her back to get her out of attack range. You can also take some pressure off Fred by putting another unit (ensure it's someone squishier than Fred, as an overleveled Robin whose stats eclipse Fred will probably cause the Wyvern to still target Fred) in range of one of the Wyverns to lure it away. Sure, you'll have to heal that unit, but the healers should be safer that far back and it gives experience to your other units, since now that Wyvern can be dogpiled without much worry.

Axe users are pretty much fucked in this game, I swear
unless they are Heroes
Enjoyment and Excitement!Deke is the best Armads user. Gonzales can't hit shit, Geese is mediocre and Lot is weak and Wade is slow. Getting Deke to S rank Axes is easy if you promote him by the end of the Western Isles arc because of his high skill and all those Wyvern Riders everywhere.
