Somehow, I'd imagine a Touhou x Kirby game would end up getting boss powers by inhaling a spellcard. However that would work(probably by getting the spellcard bonus, which makes Clownpiece Kirby all the more awesome).

Well that was an interesting chapter. It was pretty neat to see that the abnormal seasons wasn't something that just happened spontaneously but was a kind of slow change over time.
I do lots of stuff. The real question is am I any good at that stuff.

So this chapter takes place just before H Si FS starts. It's a bit of a prologue(?) to the events of the game.
Nitori shows up. That's an unexpectedly realistic-looking depiction of unagi butchering and preparation there. Not that I've seen one in real life.
and page 24, wow Marisa looks extra cool and dramatic there.
I think it's mentioned somewhere that H Si FS seems to set up Marisa to having her own Yukari equivalent. In here, Marisa is notably scolding Reimu for ignoring obvious signs of an incident and not acting. Additionally, Marisa's pretty on top of things during the incident and is actively attempting to resolve it very competently.
Maybe ZUN's setting up Marisa to stop being content with being Reimu's #2 and aim to be the top incident solver with assistance from Okina? That's the impression I'm getting, at least.

Wow, that scene with Marisa calling Reimu to be serious and face reality is really well done, with the overall tone also shifting from light-hearted slice of life comedy to a somewhat more serious tone heading towards the main game.
Also Nitori's stealing Mystia's business. Rude.
