Oh that was pretty clever. I wanna see Kanako in a business outfit. And it's great seeing her active. But poor Suwako, she doesn't get much fame outside of her role as a glorified ropeway attendant.

On an unrelated side note, due to all three manga running concurrently, I can't help but ponder how poor Suzy is coping while Reimu and friends are away enjoying themselves.

Since the latest V Fi S takes place in presumably spring just before the cherry blossoms and the lated Wag HH takes place when the blossoms are already fully blooming in Youkai Mountain while FS 50 takes place when everyone are still wearing winter clothes, I think we can assume that Reimu and co. did all those stuffs after the whole mess with Lil' Suzy is resolved or at least delayed.

If my deduction is right, everyone should still be in winter mode at the end of Lil' Suzy's current 'situation'.

It was nice seeing Kanako doing something for a change, and showing off her Business Women skills.

To me the reason I ain't convinced that it is a case of Demonic Possession is from the simple fact that Kosuzu had yet to actually use the scroll, she didn't do it until Marisa appeared. And even if it is a case of possession then from what we have seen so far it might be a case of More than Mind Control.

And on the topic if she became a boss in AoCF, then she might fight using the mystery Youkai in a fashion similar to a stand.

All speculation, but I believe that the scroll's possessing Suzy to fully unbreak its seal. Mamizou mentioned an aura around Suzunaan way before Suzy ran away.

Or maybe Kosuzu was a Youkai all along and the little girl we see is an act.

Did we ever see her parents?

We never saw them, but yeah, they exist. I think one panel has Kosuzu's mom calling her from off-screen. Although it does make you wonder what they do. They pretty much left everything related to the bookstore to Kosuzu.

Kosuzu's parents might as well be Sora's parents.

What are parents?

One to two adults who live in your dwelling and tell you what to do.

Woah, hold on, what the ballz is Suwako wearin'? O_o She looks like a Kappa with a Suwako hat. Weird. Speakin' of her, I wonder how many of those Regular Villagers even know who/what Suwako is. They're probably all thinking "Oh my, an adorable little girl with a funny hat on the megaphone, How droll."

Apropos of nothing, I recently found an image album someone made of cocktail recipes based on this series a few years back. For flavor, they gave each drink a spellcard-like name. One that I found amusing was the one based on Eirin, which they called "Apollo of Fake Moon".

It's just a little amusing to me that a few years later, a spell with almost the same name would show up in the actual series as Clownpiece's final attack.

Evolution of Touhou plots

You could apply that to the Mangas too.

First Three Fairies Manga: Three Innocent Pranksters go about (trying) to prank everyone they come across, eventually finding residence in a tree and learning to love life.

Forbidden Scrollery: An innocent girl is slowly broken down by blackmail from a gangster grandmother, a lecherous bird, and a known child kidnapper, until eventually she decides (maybe?) TO REJECT HER HUMANITY JOJ-Errr, Marisa. Also, Reimu kills a man in cold-blood.

Giant robotic spider?

Yeah, the Lunarians summoned their secret weapon: GENOCIDE SPIDER.

This is a common misconception about the story for some reason. There was a mechanical spider, but it was implied to be something like the Mars Rover. A remote controlled recon vehicle, specifically designed to be invisible to youkai. It certainly wasn't any sort of GENOCIDE SPIDER. The purification of the surface would've happened all at once, like launching a nuclear weapon, and you stopped that plan before it started.
