Well, his best play now is to kill Vanna, but that wont happen, so...

If Maggiedoll can beat the Moll, they can capture Vanna. Naw, too kinky.

I must say that I like the way the artwork has been going lately. First Bonnie, then Maggie, now Vanna. Where on Earth did she get that outfit anyway?

Someupdates.

Man, Bonnie's presentation style is hilariously fish-out-of-water in Gobwin Knob's (mostly non-existent) work culture. She's terribly unsubtle in her persuasion attempts though.

Also, it's looking like she really is a unit with perhaps a bit too much initiative. Some of what she's achieved that way (e.g. saving the Arkenpliers) was good for her side, but in other cases it didn't work out (the portal fiasco at Charlescomm). I seem to be getting the vibe that this is working up to be one of the latter.

So, back to the resolution of the TV situation (as it stands so far). Reading between the lines, it seems that Vanna's status has declined (for now) which at least implies that Parson's may have improved. Charlie's idea strongly implies that he isn't aware of Don's fears regarding Jill's missing force. Don suspects that Charlie is conniving to attack TV, while this conversation with Vanna seems to indicate that that isnt true (as we all suspected anyway), what Charlie plans to do won't alleviate those fears. It may make them worse.

I do like Charlies and Vanna's signamancy.

Now as to Ace and the rifle: Units in Erfworld dont learn skills by practice, unless they already have the special, in which case they can level up in that skill. But they cant acquire new skills that way.

And for the rest of it, we can now guess whose side Jed is on...

So he successfully explained away being out of his cell then. For a bit I was wondering how he would but then I realized that Transylvito actually wouldn't care so long as he didn't get caught doing anything truly incriminating. What else would you expect from a prisoner?

As people elsewhere have pointed out, Parson's plan would make it impossible for Charlie to attack TV without losing a big chunk of his treasury due to the cease fire.

Clever plan. Presumably the bats can screen the TV units preventing the archons from even firing (otherwise Charlie loses a ton in penalties).

Screen or be made to look like T Vs units by Jack.

[up]Both, really. They'd be just a minor portion of the bats in the sky, they'd have to be making themselves targets on purpose in order to guarantee getting shot. And veiling would prevent archons from being selective.

Remember that Charlie's net worth is a little under 700 million in schmuckers and gems. 150 of those 200 bats is enough to wipe him out.

Edit: And I even forgot to subtract the thirty odd million Parson already cost him.

It doesn't cost 5 million every time there's an infraction, that's only if the treasury is over 10 million. Otherwise it's half the treasury with a 500k floor, and Charlie has enough gems that, once his treasury is 0, he can pay out over 1000 500k penalties.

Still nasty enough that Charlie wont want to do it.

I'm not even sure the attack is happening. The odds weren't greatly in favor of an attack on Transylvito when they used the bracer and that was when they fed it wrong information.

Well, I guess it'll happen because we need something exciting and Transylvito would be pretty mad they were tricked into breaking an alliance, but I don't think it should be considered truly likely.

I'm not sure how long it would take Archons to arrive at TV, but its possible that Charlie only decided on the attack since confirming that Parson is there, well after the bracer was used.

It'll be interesting to see Charlie's spin on the situation, now that Parson has made the first move in the make-up-crap-about-your-opponent battle.

Using rhyme-a-mancy in his speech and even occasionally singing has been a thing of his for awhile, I believe.

I don't think Parson ever really disbelieved in Fate, did he?

Discar Since: Jun, 2009
#3121: Sep 30th 2016 at 4:30:21 PM

Yeah, he knows that Fate is a real thing. What he dislikes is Wanda using Fate as an alternative to strategy. There are too many questions regarding Fate magic to rely on it that way. For example, Jojo pointed out that there's a very real possibility that Parson will die right after he croaks Charlie, since Fate no longer needs him.

This sort of reminds me of Jack's attitude towards fate during the last season of Lost, especially during his confrontation with Richard. Jack has spent the whole series being rational and refusing anything said about "fate", but he has accepted that there are strange magical rules on the island and one of the rules is that he cannot die yet. So when Richard tries to blow himself up with dynamite, Jack just sits near him and waits for the dynamite to fizzle.

It's probably what Charlie asked Don to do. The question is whether Don is really going along with Charlie's interests in this, or whether he just wants to see Parson's response.

Adannor from effin' belarus Since: May, 2010 Relationship Status: Buried in snow, waiting for spring
#3125: Oct 4th 2016 at 2:11:57 AM

Probably trying to play both. Charlie has likely promised him a lot of solutions and to not destroy his side despite their alliance against him, if Parson takes the deal (given that they'll be inconsequential anyway); so Don would be happy and safe if that deal happens. On the other hand, if Parson refuses, Don can't really do anything for that, so he's going to wring out GK as much as he can.

Also, he may be already getting some concessions by just offering this deal.
