Maybe it could be one of those redlinks that actually does have a page (in this case, maybe a redirect)? Best of both worlds, that way.

Infinite Tree: an experimental storyI'll PM Fast Eddie about doing that.
Did you ever get a reply?
I'd say just leave Completely Missing The Point links as broken links. The way many of them were used was broken to begin with.
"The Daily Show has to be right 100% of the time; FOX News only has to be right once." - Jon StewartTry again?
This thread keeps flying off the radar. I'll try to get Fast Eddie's attention on the Faux-redlink thing.
You're not wrong. This has been rebumped roughly once a month since JULY. Is Fast Eddie the only one who can (faux-)redlink a trope?
Yes.
God knows how long his admin development queue is (never mind moderator-jobbing)
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanSince the only thing left is the faux-red link, I'll close this. Eddie knows about the request, presumably it's on his to-do list.
Waiting on a TRS slot? Finishing off one of these cleaning efforts will usually open one up.
Crown Description:
Completely Missing The Point is currently massively misused as a complaining gateway, or as "anyone missing the point about anything at any time." This trope is really supposed to be a humor trope in which someone misses a glaringly obvious point no matter how often it's brought up. What should be done about this? (Note: feel free to add pros and cons.)
Oh bugger. It has 24 thousand inbound links.
