Aww, and I was just getting in.
I know you all miss meOh good, you're back, I've been meaning to speak to you. You're still in New York, right?
I have no intention of leaving Magey.
I know you all miss meI'm visiting in September. Any suggestions for places to visit on an otaku's non-existent budget?
Well that depends on a number of things:
First off, I'm assuming you're going to be hoteling in Manhattan? In that case, first thing is to AVOID TIMES SQUARE at all costs. Yes it's pretty, but price gougers are a MAJOR thing there. Everything is expensive in New York, doubly so in Times Square.
I don't do much of the tourist thing, but some highlights to recommend:
The High Line on the west side. It's an old elevated train track that was converted into a free public park. The view is beautiful and it's a great walking path.
The Museum of Natural History is cheap and fun. You can spend a full day there and not worry about anything.
If you're looking for nerd shops, the two I recommend are J&L on 6th ave and 39th, and The Complete Strategist on 33rd between 5th and Madison.
Other than that, avoid touristy looking shops. Cheap goods for expensive prices. Get a metrocard and a subway map ASAP because cabs are expensive as all hell. Also, if you're looking for a view, the New World Trade Center observatory is the tallest, but wake up early because that line fills up fast.
Also, travel over to Brooklyn and go see Coney Island. Or go to the Bronx and see the zoo. If you're going to want to see a baseball game, only go see the Brooklyn Cyclones because otherwise you'll spend 3X your vacation budget at Shea or Yankee.
Just about it, unless you need specifics.
I know you all miss meThanks for the suggestions! You wouldn't happen to know where I could buy a good condition Vita along 75th avenue, would you? Or art supplies along same, specifically polymer clay?

"Well," Ichigo flatly said. "It's over now."
Negi nodded. "I suppose it is, then. My sympathies."
There was a long, painful silence.
"Seriously, fuck this business," Ichigo muttered bitterly.
Negi nodded sagely. "Had I known it'd be this way, I'd never have—"
"What are you complaining about? You at least get to appear in a pseudo-sequel after *your* badly rushed ending! If only I—"
Negi urgently gripped on Ichigo's sleeve, his eyes now suddenly haunted. "Kurosaki-san. NO! No matter what, if you're ever offered the chance, DON'T DO IT! For the sake of your own soul!"
Ichigo's eyes widened, and after several moments of doubt, staring into the horror of Negi's fixed gaze, finally nodded slowly.
Sighing in relief, Negi let go of his sleeve before quietly vanishing in the breeze.
"Learned that from his father, it seems," Touta quietly informed Ichigo.
"You know, I'd tell you to take care of the future for us," Ichigo mumbled, "but by now I kinda don't care anymore."
Ok first thing.
Avenues run north to south, going from first on the east side to 12th on the west. streets run east to west with 1st in the south, going upward as you go uptown.
So I'm going to assume you mean 75th street. I don't normally hang out above 58th street, but J&L on 6th and 39th has all your video game needs. As far as art supplies goes, it's shrug city.
I know you all miss meThanks. I'll guess I'll just have to hope for a wifi connection and search when I get there then.
If you're looking for a new series, I can recommend New Game!.

Make friends with Google Maps.
Look, as long as you stay in midtown and above, Manhattan is a literal grid. Easy to navigate on foot, but don't try and drive. Just ends in pain
I know you all miss meThanks for the advice Anemoi. BTW, why have you been gone so long? RL being difficult again?
Oh, BTW, have officially started on latest original fiction project. You can find it here. Any feedback would be nice. It's a bit rambling right now, but after I finish it i plan to go back and tighten it up since I'm not really sure what exactly I want to say just yet. Right now it's one big mix of sarcastic infodump and attempts at Show, Don't Tell of character development.
Long story with lots of things.
Some introspective soul searching, some massive amount of my time belonging to someone else, and not a good bit of me being a lazy fuck.
But hey, I'm back
I know you all miss meOh. I'm sorry.
...
I assume there's something to be sorry about, with that summary, since you had a lazy period. Happily correct me if I'm wrong.

Eehh, not really much to be sorry about aside form lazieness.
Though in my absence, I HAVE become an uncle, so there's that
I know you all miss meI'm sorry for your wallet then. Those little things need constant bribery to remember you exist.
Or you could, y'know, ignore it back.
It's not like you're losing anything valuable by ignoring your siblings' children's existence.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariExcept a pottental match for a future organ transplant. Just saying.
Fate Grand Order players will know me as Ryusei-Go.Sorry IANCE, but he's an adorable little freaky baby slinky monkey, so I'm kinda hooked.
And I like my sister and brother in law. Why would I ignore them
I know you all miss meYeah, you have to remember that Jerkass Logic isn't Joe Average Logic, IANCE.
Not that I think Anemoi is a Joe Average, though. You get what I meant, right?
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Mine is better logic, because with mine, you at least get to keep your money.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariSpeaking as someone who's needed loans from the family more than once, no, it's not a good idea to piss relatives off like that. Because then they, or their parents, whatever, won't bail you out when you need it.

According to your priorities and personal values, yeah. But other people may have different priorities and personal values, which may not include or even outright contradict yours.
Now, if you wanna debate which set of priorities/personal values is superior to the other, that's a different issue altogether... and one which will in all likeliness end in "agree to disagree".
Also, .

Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Do you take every single thing ever said seriously, Marq? Because it seems to me like you cannot comprehend that sometimes, people aren't serious.
Also, I personally never had family I could borrow money from, so, yeah, there's that.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariYou do realize that Napoleon also took you seriously, right? How come you're complaing at me but not at him?
