BRACE FOR IMPACT!
You know you want to add loveOkay what I do?
You posted what you think. They are scared that someone else will post a counter opinion and a flame war will start.
Liable to disappear at any moment.More specifically it's that you (pre-edit) said "the World Nobles should die for the good of the world".
Even if, honestly, the world would be better off without them, anyone proposing the killing/execution of a character because they're too dangerous/evil/etc. to be allowed to live, even in fiction, seems to be a massive Berserk Button of No Limit's, and he'll try to deal out a "Reason You Suck" Speech and deconstruct you until you're curled in a ball weeping for mommy.
Trust me, I speak from experience. Well-Intentioned Extremism is apparently frowned upon in this thread.
And by "apparently", I mean "seemingly unilaterally".

The most interesting part is that he will fail, but won't give up. Unless you're me, anyway.
That debate is always funny, particularly when the arguments 'if you kill him you'll be just like him' or 'whatever they've done they're still people' don't work, like when talking to a psychopath...

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWho will fail and not give up, exactly? It was rather unclear.
I felt I was just being realistic: If the Nobles are ever taken down they will either be exiled or executed. This is typically what happens to rulers who are overthrown. It depends on how Machiavellian Oda is feeling I suppose.

I, for one, know and understand that.
Most of these folks don't seem to like realism very much.
Or have very different ideas on what constitutes realism.

Makes sense Turtle
You know you want to add loveThen you remember that if someone has powers that allow them to be a complete nuisance and have proven they'd like nothing more than to annoy the hell out of everyone, you don't exile them. You execute them because they will be a nuisance.
And if it isn't the heroes who do it, it'll be someone else. They're not going to reform so they might as well die so they don't waste everyone else's time, effort and resources. Prisons eat a lot of money.
Realistic outcomes and idealism don't mix, though.
And, Eva, I'm not even going to bother answering your question because the answer should be so painfully obvious it makes me want to smack you. Then again, a lot of things make me want to smack people, so it's not like it's special.

himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariThat strange feeling when you're agreeing with IANCE for the opposite reason.
Actually, I believe that if you refuse to kill a repeated murderer, you have just murdered every future victim that person will have. It's not about revenge or who the serial killer is, it's about your responsibilty to the people of the future. I believe in making the world a better place, some people will do so by dying.
Everybody likes convenience.
himitsu keisatsu seifu chokuzoku kokka hoanbu na no da himitsu keisatsu yami ni magireru supai katsudou torishimariWait, who said I was against the death sentence? I'm not against the death sentence. I'm against people who say that a person is no longer a person and therefore a death sentence for them is okay.
Every person deserves their chance at life. If they squander it, it's their fault. But they're still people.
I'm... just gonna quote Machiavelli on this one for comment: "One must think of the final results." That's all Im saying on this matter.
Speaking of hyperidealism, I managed a decent amount of work on Girl of Tomorrow last night.
I should add that I don't support the death sentence either. I'm not being wishy-washy; I am a man that believes in the best in humanity and hopes the rehabilitation of people. In other words...
"There has to be a better way."

Indeed, there should be. But damned if any of us ever manage to find it.
It's all about ethics
If you kill him: Are you willing to be the say-all of who lives and dies
If you don't: Are you willing to take responsibility for any future victims
You know you want to add loveAs I jump in, type a reply, then run off...
Yes, Long-sensei is an OC.

Madman with a box? I'm a madman with a semi, a pretzel bender and a Heart of Gold!In this instance I'm not talking about the death sentence for convicted killers, but war and revolutions and what happens to the losers.

@No Limit: Then we're basically in total agreement. I believe that the death penalty should exist, but only to be used in extreme cases because rehabilitation should always be the goal. And that even the most criminal still has worth. The death penalty should also be carried out humanely.
This quote sums things up nicely. When other villains even express Even Evil Has Standards towards someone... Luffy should be given a medal for punching that one guy in the face.
Currently in a government course and looking back at history The World Nobles are basically begging people to revolt against them. They are a textbook example of "how not to govern".
