They also mentioned that cast members would die, so maybe Artemis or Speedy are replacements?
An useless name, a forsaken connection.I was just wishing for a more serious action western cartoon too until I saw this, pretty cool.
Artemis and Ms Martian are the most likely to bite the dust. Robin, Impulse and Superboy are safe just by virtue of being themselves, and Aqualad is evidently the leader so...

This is still a signature.^ Taking into account character who've died in the comics, however...
I can definitely see them killing off Superboy for the wham value, then bringing in a clone, or an alternate, or resurrecting him somehow at some point in the future

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.Heh, I was brought here by searching for articles with Snowflame in them, and someone mentioned him on the first page. Too bad such a villain would never make the cut, because, if you take away the cocaine, he's not even half as entertaining.
Anyhow, this show looks like it'll be good. I like the idea of Batman as their mission control. Hopefully each adult League member will play a special role in watching over the young team.
Personally, I like Teen Titans much more than most of the DCAU. It's a lot easier for me to take superheroes seriously if they can admit how inherently silly they are in between their more dramatic moments, and I really hope this Young Justice cartoon resembles the former more than the latter. I think it's great that they're taking big risks like killing off established characters (when appropriate), but I really want to like this series, and I don't think I'd be able to if it wears nothing but a serious face all the time.

"Religion isn't the cause of wars, it's the excuse." —Mycroft NextDoes Robin have an Omni-Tool?
I think he does.
"Teebs is a total grump, but he's usually right." - NLK^^ I can understand that point of view and agree I hope there is some humor but not the 'anime' kind I'd like some 'Spectacular Spider man' type stuff.

Teen Titans is really not as animesque as people think / claim; they pulled the plug on all but the more subtle nods by the middle of the second season.
Oddly, I had a hard time getting into Spectacular Spider-Man due to a bad case of Art-Style Dissonance, though.

"Religion isn't the cause of wars, it's the excuse." —Mycroft NextBy 'anime' I meant the sense of humor with the Face gags and Tear Drops, Spider-man had much more subtle jokes and that's what I want to see here.

^ I think I see what you mean: Teen Titans was more gag oriented, while Spectacular Spiderman was more witty.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.^Yeah that's it.
Yeah, Teen Titans took as much influence, if not more, from Tex Avery cartoons as from anime.
So first commercial aired.
So far so good.
This is still a signature. When I saw the commercial, the animation looked like the non-DCU movies. Also, who's the black guy with Superboy, Kid Flash, and Robin?
Pretty sure that the guy who did the character designs for the show also worked on some of the non-DCAU movies. And the black guy is the redesigned and Race Lift-ed Aqualad.
^ He's actually a completely new Aqualad, just introduced in the comics as a completely different person than Garth. So not really a race-lift.
Rawr!I noticed that the female characters didn't get any screen time in that ad.
Kind of unfair.
"Religion isn't the cause of wars, it's the excuse." —Mycroft NextOnly furthering my theory that it will be one of the females that will kick the bucket, as they've said that one character will die.
This is still a signature.^^ I thought that they were doing something similar to Avengers Earths Mightest Heroes; like not all of the team is appearing at once. Because it looks like it's just Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash at first, but then they meet Superboy in that first episode. I'm guessing Artemis and Miss Martian will appear in the next episode or the one after.
I hope Miss Martian doesn't die. She's the cute one, for me.
"Religion isn't the cause of wars, it's the excuse." —Mycroft NextI'm hoping Artemis dies and they bring in Arrowette. And where's Secret, for goodness sakes?
Shut up and wait and see a little bit more about the character. Besides, Speedy in Teen Titans did a pretty good job being similar-but-different from Robin. (he lived up to his name, and I don't mean the drugs)
A cross between Green Arrow and Wonder Woman? That sounds surprisingly awesome.
