Even if something WAS happening, we wouldn't hear about it for a while.
Basically, if nothing is heard from in two or three years, it won't be happening at all.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).Pretty much, making cartoons takes time (especially since Netflix releases entire seasons at once).
If we still have heard absolutely nothing by this time next year, then you should start getting worried
GOH! JII! RAH!Where do these Netflix revival rumors come from anyways?
It started when Weisman and other V As encouraged people to watch the show on Netflix when the second season was added back in February. It all blew up into a movement to increase views and have Netflix pick up the show, which was only fueled when the Netflix customer support people actually mentioned they've been getting lots of requests for more YJ and Netflix is talking to WB about it.
The question now is whether or not those talks will need to anything.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).They aren't rumors or just wishful thinking, if you look it up you can actually find articles with stuff that Greg Weisman has said himself. He's the one fueling us fans and since it's his show I'd trust what we've been hearing.
"That's a to-go order. See! It's already gone!!"Sorry for being cynical, but in case you haven't noticed, every mature action cartoon with an overarching plot in recent history has been prematurely cancelled, never to see the light of day again. Spectacular Spider-Man, Green Lantern the Animated Series, Beware the Batman... Heck, even Legend of Korra had to struggle to last as long as it did.
I'm really not about to get my hopes up that any of these cartoons are coming back anytime soon. Even if Young Justice does have a huge quantity of Netflix traffic, that'll probably just convince the cartoon higher-ups to make Young Justice Go or something equally disappointing. Whichever heartless corporate executives are in charge of children's cartoon are obviously stuck in the mindset of, "Action cartoons are only meant to sell action figures to little boys. Having a complicated storyline or having too many female protagonists will just make it fail." And I don't see that changing just because one of their older shows has a lot of traffic on Netflix.
I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.Curses. The unbeatable combination of logic and cynicism. My one weakness.
Alright. You win this round Bandragoness! But I'll probably be convinced by you again GET YOU NEXT TIME! NEXT TIME!!!!!
That being said, I want to wait to hear something, before we assume there's no hope. I don't blame you for seeing things that way, (at least you're not disappointed) but that's how I'll play it.
One Strip! One Strip! The Firefly Effect is a fiction.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.See, this is exactly why I never got my hopes up. This is obviously a case where the creators of the show are extremely passionate and want to keep making more of it while the higher-ups undoubtedly don't give two shits about it.
I've got Frozen, Spectacular Spider-Man, Crash, Spyro, and Paper Mario fanfics.I suppose with Justice League Action on the way, and Teen Titans Go around, they think they don't really need it.
I wish there was a way to convince these guys there was money to be made here. Since that's what they care about most, if we could make them see that, they might be willing to give it a shot.
I admit that on some level, I knew was right, but I still wanting to hope a little. I'm just baffled at how these guys can be so incredibly short sighted at times. You'd think people who understand what the viewers really want would be in charge now.
One Strip! One Strip!Watching some episodes for the first time in a while.
I love how darkly humorous Satisfaction is. Everyone spends all season trying to find a chink in Luthor and the Light's armor, trying to combat their mind-games and attempting to figure out a way to stop him and his allies from ruining more lives.
Within hours of waking up, Original Roy - with one arm, no money and only a moldy eight year old supply cache to work with - waltzes right up to Luthor's corporate HQ and blows him the fuck up. It doesn't work, which only serves to make it even funnier somehow. The absurdity of it is matched only by Luthor's complete nonchalance about it.
Also, the obligatory Greg Weisman "vengeance is for suckers" moment.

"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain. So here's a thought:
Who else do you think would have been on the show if it continued:
I imagine Cyborg and Starfire would have made the cut eventually, maybe Raven as well.
Perhaps Supergirl as well, marking the first time Conner and Kara have been animated at the time.
Any other people you guys would have liked to see?
One Strip! One Strip!Cyborg might've shown up as a new member of the Justice League between seasons, as per the Nu 52. And if they continued to do a cosmic plot, then the Tamaranians would definitely have been a possibility - as well as the Thanagarians, maybe.
My own wishlist for every DC adaptation ever includes Spoiler and Cassandra Cain, and in Young Justice especially it would've been awesome to see them. I think Stephanie Brown does show up in one episode, but it's ultimately just a cameo.

Yeah. I think it was said that Steph was one of the kidnapping victims. The one who questions Robin and Batgirl when they appear in disguise.
Also, Cissie King Jones, aka Arrowette from the actual Young Justice comic appeared in a first season ep. She was the daughter of that dude that Black Spider tried to assassinate.
I'm thinking we might have also seen some characters from other Titan incarnations:
Probably a lot of people who also showed up in the Teen Titans animated series like Argent, Red Star, Hot Spot etc. Risk could have appeared, lost his arm, and then been missing arm buddies with Arsenal.
Oh, they could have possibly brought both Jericho and Rose / Ravager as well.

One Strip! One Strip!Original Boy puts the arse in Arsenal. What a prick.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.To be fair, he had his life and his arm stolen, is still physically.... 15 or 16, despite being in his 20's, and is clearly suffering from some kind of PTSD.
Yes, he's a dick, but it would be hard not to be after what was done to him.
It doesn't help that the others abandoned him as well.
One Strip! One Strip! The DCU abounds with people who have every reason to be dicks but aren't. Not everyone is one bad day away from being an asshole.
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.Well he's also a Teenager.
Remember, he lost five years of his life, his arm, and his mentor first couldn't tell he'd been replaced, and then just left him for dead afterwards. The only reason he's even back is because the dude who replaced him was the only one who kept looking.
I'm not saying your wrong, but he got hit with a lot of crap all at once: physical and mental trauma. Some can handle it, and some can't.
I'm imagining Roy's own natural personality had something to do with it. Red Arrow / Clone Roy was kinda an ass himself if you re-call. Now take his normal personality and toss in a truck load of trauma.
Then see how great he is to be around.
Edit: My bad. Five year is the amount of time between Seasons 1 and 2. Original Roy was gone for 9 years. That's actually worse.

One Strip! One Strip!Yeah, I don't blame Roy for being who he was. He's been pretty thoroughly traumatized.
Oh God! Natural light! There was an episode of Buffy The Vampire Slayer I remember where the title character wonders if you have to be "nowned" first before you can be renowned.
That was all I could think about whenever Dick Grayson as Robin in Season 1 spoke because he used that specific kind of Buffy Speak A LOT.

So in the DC comics Kaldur, or Jackson Hyde as he is known on the surface world shows up in the DC Rebirth and he's gay. Someone on CBR mentioned an interview where Weissman supposedly hinted at Kaldur in the cartoon being gay or bisexual. Can anyone find that interview?
