@ Key: Off of the top of my head, Red Arrow, Guardian, and Speedy (the original) are Setzer and Will, Wonder Girl is Yuffie, Harm is the Mysterious Figure, Martain Manhunter, Doctor Fate (Nabu), Green Lantern, and Mal are Gantu, and Perdita is Young Kairi. There's probably one or two more I'm missing.

Why do decent characters suffer Character Derailment while others get the golden child treatment? Running the Asylum while Armed with Canon.
How about we adapt my favorite Nightwing story where he sleeps with Barbara when he finds out she's paralyzed and then the next day invites her to his and Starfire's wedding.

Edit: Hey guys I'm trying to write a comic and I'm in the early stages. I'm having a bit of trouble with one early plot point. Early on 25% of cities populace were kidknapped and used as human lab rats (only a few lived) and I need a decent reason why the mayor of the city would let the kidnapping continue and keep them a secret from anyone outside the city. He's basically a selfish prick but I honastly can't think of a good enough reason (that will make him seem like an even bigger dick) for him to do this other than "he's a politician". I know some of you guys a writers and critics so I was wondering if you could throw around some idea around so I could get an idea or two. I'm only 15 so and I haven't writen a character like the mayor before, and I know very little about politics, so I was hopeing you guys could help me out since I'm rather new to writing.
Also this happens off panel (well there are flash back panels of this happening), and I need it to be able to be explained by the Commissioner. (Note: The mass kidnapping takes place in a city close to the one where my second main character lives)
