Still room for improvement...: Cats Are Mean

Tricky getting exactly the right frame from the Simon's Cat animations. I finally gave up and went with the best one I got.

I still like the one about to bite fingers. It's being mean.

The Disney examples mentioned so far seem somewhat JAFAAC and unusual (appearancewise) for cats. The weird creature about to bite the girl's hand barely even looks like a cat. I'd rather something that looks both clearly catlike AND sinister, something LIKE my first image.

Also, what is wrong with using a LOLcat image?

I'm still favoring Sakaki+cat. Lucifer 1 is my second.

Yeah, LOL Cats are hardly Real Life. Well, obviously, the images are of Real Life cats, but in most cases, the fun bits are "stories" supplied by humans to fit the images.

And in any case, we have a fair number of tropes that are depicted by Real Life images that demonstrate the trope.

Hm, ok. Preferably a quality/iconic icanhascheezburger one, then, and not just some image from GIS. I think a movie or show or comic or something would be better, but, you're right. Of those two I like ouchy-bleedy◊ better.

Lol Cats aren't real life, but Fast Eddie doesn't want them used for page images. He disapproves of memes as a form of communication as we've outlived far too many all ready.

I think that Sakaki works the best, although a second image of Kami-neko where its being normal as well would be better.

There is one moment in the anime where she gets bitten by the cat and still pets it while its teeth are still digging in her other hand. If anyone has that one?

EDIT: Wait, you mean this guy?◊ He doesn't look like a normal cat appearancewise in this or the other pic of him in this thread. I'd say go for something that makes clear both that he's a cat AND that he's evil.

I think that works.

He means this◊. (Although the name Lucifer is more of a bonus that might be mentioned in the caption.) Cats Are Mean is about cats being portrayed as evil. I think evil-looking is more important than harm-inflicting. Second Lucifer.

Well, neither Lucifer nor the cats biting the girl's hands look quite like normal cats... I guess Lucifer is closer to it though.

EDIT: We could probably find a more sinister moment than that one though. Just sitting there, even with a grin on its face, is arguably JAFAAC, and less applicable than a cat giving the middle finger.

They don't have to look like real cats. Cartoon cat is close enough.

I liked the anime and the manga pics but The Pope's is a lot more evil so it gets my vote/approval/whatever.

Time for a crowner, maybe? I think we've got a lot of decent images, but no general consensus on any one of them.
