This is true. I mean, pretty much everyone gives a collective what the fuck? when they find out Shido was the one who sent Joker to jail in the first place. So the fact that there were so many strange coincidences did start to get noticed
One Strip! One Strip!Unlike some people, I never took issue with how much the party talks about Phantom Thieves business over regularly hanging out and wasting time. Especially not compared to Persona 4.
Welp, I'm back in the tower. Didn't expect to find another Terminal...or Mara for that matter.
...Could have done without old Penis mouth to be honest, but here we are.
I'll need to kill that dude for the beat off this magnificent Schlong joke. The world doesn't need that kind of shit.
One Strip! One Strip!Well, I also had the Viewers Are Goldfish problems with P4/Ultimax (and second Raidou), and I agree that at least the Protagonist centrism isn't as bad, I just expected better from P5 (I enjoyed the game very much, that may be why I'm so critical to things I didn't like). As for coincedences, I understand that it's probably meant to show how far the Big Bads reach, but to me it actually makes the scope feel smaller because everything is connected (maybe letting Madarame be it's own thing and giving the Black Mask foreshadowing to otherwise filler-ish Kaneshiro would be better). Similarly, only focusing on PT makes the world less alive.

so wait, why did you expect better from p5?
pretty much all of the persona games have been very protag-centric. from the first game literally centering on maki's psyche as a catalyst for the villain's actions, the p2 duology's entire universe revolving around the group of ill-fated friends, persona 3's protag was jesus, p4's protag was basically just randomly chosen to be the paragon that would determine the fate of the wider world based on their actions during a small town murder investigation.
i havent played p5 (probably wont for a long time, since i dont have the console for it), so i have no idea what how centric it really is, but i cant imagine it was ever a surprise, considering its what the series has always done.
Theres a new demon depicted for Deep. Its a guy who is half angelic and half demonic with a water/ice blade on the angelic half and a blade on the demon half.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. He's quite imposing looking. New superboss, maybe?
Ive seen Anahita and Maya fusion as a suggestion for him.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.@Tarsen: No, the only time when I had problems with protagonist centrism is P4 where MC is made too perfect and no one would shut up about it (especially not Rise and Teddie). Previous protags and P 5 MC are handled much better in this regard. By PT centrism I mean everyone talks about the group wherever you go. Not counting Co-ops and Mementos, being Phantom Thieves is most of what party members talk about, NP Cs and news talk about them, even when you are on a trip no one would shut up about them. As a result, it feels like the only things people talk about are them and plot important stuff. Granted, their fame IS a plot point, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to take some of those lines and use them for more worldbuilding or character interactions instead.

One of the points ingame is that the PT are a fad to the masses, so naturally they indulge in it while its in.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Sorry to double post but I just realized: The new demon is doing Jimenez pose

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I'll take your word for it.
Here is the glorius low-res version◊
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Almost looks like a Fusion Dance between Jimenez and Zelenin. And of course this guy's in the new sector too...

The pose is similar.
He also has the arm blades Jimenez had. His were weird shadow one while this guy has distinct ones on each half.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Someone at r/megaten thought it might be a demonized Ryan, too.
Just got my hands on SMT 4: Apocalypse through a lucky find at a flea market. I swear, the 3DS is worth its weight in gold at this point.
Hope you have fun with it! I certainly did!
So on the topic of that new demon, I take it no name was revealed yet?
Check this out. I went in search of an interesting /smtg/ post from about two years ago, and against all odds, I found it! Get a load of this◊. It's Lucifer, obviously, but this Lucifer was found by an Anon rooting around in the save editor and he's actually completely different from both the boss and AI partner versions. He was actually found in the Compendium among his fellow Tyrants. I wonder if he was supposed to be playable at some point in the game?
Triangulum run go! It's so weird that it's a sequel to an ending that's actually impossible to get in a Septentrione run - Alcor is on the Heavenly Throne, but everyone including Yamato and Ronaldo is alive.
I can tell this one will be shorter, too, since they start you off on Tuesday at level 20.
It was originally planned to be Daichi+ but having a single route as the lead up had them change it so everyone's alive.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Why would that require them to change it?

Alienating people who didn't get that ending.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
The coincidences are actually called attention to in the game itself, and it's heavily insinuated that they aren't coincidences at all but the machinations of Yaldabaoth.
