Started Digital Devil Saga and everything was going fine until I unlocked the Mantra store and now I'm paralyzed by too many options.
Also is there a reason Argilla's mantra wasn't leveling up during the first dungeon?
W O W at the two female characters having their Atma marks on their boobs and butt.
Mouth-Titties.
MOUTH-TITTIES.
I sure said that!Prithivi is a fetility deity.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Aint no one getting knocked up by mouth-titties.
You don't know that at all!
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Since breasts are symbols of fertility (this is actually believed to be the biological reason large breasts are considered attractive), I don't see why a fertility goddess would have hideous boobs...
she doesnt have boobs she simply has mounted mouths.
Moth: Cause she is being a bad little girl who insists on just eating veggies and not meat.
Seriously, the greens are peasant food.

"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Atma is gained by eating the people you defeat; Argilla, quite understandably, doesn't immediately take to cannibalism.
Also, if you think Prithivi is bad, just wait till you see Camazotz.

Heart of Stone...which is basically what I was implying here
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!So I got up to the end of the Assembly of Nihilo in Nocturne. I take it the game gets a massive difficulty spike in the future. The only bosses that have given me serious trouble at this point are the Fiends.

not really.
the only troublesome boss i can think of is mot because if you're unlucky he can spam dragons eye and beast eye
aside from that, you're only really in for trouble if you arent prepared. i tend to go for the all-element magic + all hit phys using demi-fiend, so im generally versatile enough to not be at a significant disadvantage against any boss, and from there its just setting up a decent team. daisoujou is in nearly all good teams.
My basic strategy so far is this:
- Challenge the boss once as soon as possible just to get a feel for what kind of attacks they use. Sometimes I win anyway but half the time I die on the first attempt.
- If I died then I remove anything in my party that's weak to their preferred attacking style. If possible I'll replace them with ones that have immunities or resistances. I also swap out the Demifiend's Magatama if I feel it's needed.
- Refight boss under New or Full Kagutsuchi to take advantage of Dark/Bright Might. Spam Fog Breath, Sukunda, and Sukukaja in the first few turns. After that focus on dealing as much damage as possible while using Media and restorative items if needed.
So far this strategy has worked pretty well. The Fiends are the only ones that gave me a lot of trouble.
Ah, as an aside, if you haven't picked up on it yet through trial and error- Stats swing up to four stages in either direct, and the skills like Fog Breath and War Cry just flatly work like two uses of the similar -nda spell. For whatever reason, Magic and Strength are independently buffed but simultaneously debuffed, hence why War Cry and Tarakunda cost more to cast than otherwise similar skills.
I sure said that!I want to play Nocturne, but as someone who plays for the mythology I hear the Compendium's kinda... paltry. Like, why are there five Palette Swaps of Mou-Ryo, which are pretty much all different cultures' versions of the same thing?
I also heard that Nocturne had to cut down the number of demons in the game because they were using 3D models.
You know, I was never really that bothered by 2D models in Strange Journey and SMTIV, but I think I would prefer having more demons to play around with than only a few demons in 3D...

I've noticed that. Generally I have Demifiend use Fog Breath and another demon will use Sukukaja or Sukunda on the first turn. If I feel like the boss is still hitting too much I'll just use Sukunda/Sukukaja again. As an aside I hate Dekunda. It ruins all my hard work.
It's not terrible but I have noticed Nocturne has a lot less enemy diversity compared to 4.

Same. A lot of people seem upset that mainline SMT isn't on consoles anymore but I actually prefer handhelds. You can take them with you and play them in boring places likes trains and doctors' waiting rooms.
I think it would be nice if another main SMT game was on a console but then it might be on the PS 4 which would annoy me.
But yeah, the selection in Nocturne's a bit limited because the game was made by a pre-Persona 3 Atlus that didn't have a ton of resources and also lacked old 3D assets to use- The games after Nocturne recycled at least as much as they invented, so the list was much fuller by the time the Personas came out and Atlus found a license to print money.
I sure said that!Too bad we'll probably never get an SMT handheld game with 3D models. I don't think Atlus has the resources to make them for 500+ demons.
I don't see why consoles vs. handhelds is a big deal in the first place, to be honest.
At this stage, they probably could, honestly. They;re already over halfway there if they're willing to just touch up old models instead of make new ones from scratch.
I sure said that!It is a different experience in my opinion. It mostly has to do with graphical limitations although SMT doesn't really push the boundaries too much on that front. I think the main issue is that we won't get full 3D models on the handheld games.
Would those work for a 3DS game? There's also space limitations to consider.

Yeah, that's what it does.
Seems my next destination is the Mansion, and I understand there's another rather difficult Summoner boss after that level. I'm level 33 now; what's the best level to attempt the Mansion?
