Did you kill the Dalek yet?
Does anyone find Demon Wispering creepy?
You gotta start somewhere.
Ain't seen no Daleks.
If it has anything to do with the demon I'm supposed to kill in Blasted Shinjuku (which I'm at right now and it's a fucking creepy place, being a ghost town and all), then I supposed I'll exterminate it soon enough.
One Strip! One Strip! You'll definitely have fought the Dalek by the time you're done with the blasted zone, and that's all I'll say. You'll know it when you see it, believe me.
Cool.
Took care of Shinjuku, and the bird meat.
Got some more Challenge quests so I'm going to do those before taking care of Pluto. Also need to fuse some new demons. Some guys I've had for a long time (Black Frost, Frost Ace, Asmodeus) cause I like them, or they have good resistances.
I always have trouble knowing what to fuse and which attacks to keep.
Plus I'm worried about the dudes who spam all-mighty spells if I use reflect magic.
Do some of them do that if your demons resist the attacks they use? Because that would suck.
One Strip! One Strip! All those guys are post-alignment lock (except Mikazuchi), so if you're going for the Bad Ending first, you won't see them anyway.
Cool.
That being said, I'm gonna have to remember to hold on to debuffing spells, and defence increasing spells as well I think.
And be careful about Null and absorbing demons when I got for a proper alignment lock.
One Strip! One Strip! How these demons work is that each has a "preferred" element, and if you go in with a party that fully nulls, repels, or drains that element, they'll commence dropping Megidolaons. The full list is...
- Mikazuchi: The only one you're likely to fight before the lock, and by far the easiest. His level (80) is intimidating, but he can be beaten quite handily at level 50 or so. His preferred element is Elec, but you can sort of cheat in that he won't react if you protect against Phys and Gun, which he also has strong skills for as well. His quest is "A Century of Defense."
- Astaroth: His quest is "Prevent a Deal With an Overlord" and his preferred element is ice. On Chaos only, this quest leads to another one, "Ishtar, Goddess of the Harvest" where you fight Mother Harlot and Asherah, but I'm not sure if the same rules apply to them.
- Beelzebub: His quest is "Rebirth of the Great Overlord" and his preferred elements are Gun and Elec. Here's a hint: try to get Alice and Odin.
- The Fiends: There's seven of these elusive little bastards running around Tokyo, one for each element plus one for both light and dark. You can only get Red Rider on Neutral. Finding these guys is a chore in and of itself, but there's been multiple guides on this so I won't bore you here.
So it's an entire party huh? What if you have just one guy that does it?
And they do the same thing if you use Tetrakarn (sp) and Makarakarn (sp) as well I take it, or are those different demons?
One Strip! One Strip!I think for the Fiends, using Tetrakarn and Makarakarn means Almighty-spam time. I'm not sure about the others, though I wouldn't be surprised if they bust out the Almighty moves as well.
Whole party, yeah. Be warned, though, these guys have a pretty smart AI, and if you go in with only one demon that isn't immune, they'll actually try to take that one out first so they can bring the Almighty pain.
Mikazuchi I know does not react to Tetrakarn, which you can easily use to make him kill himself, but I'm pretty sure the others react to both.

Thumbs up.
Just got to Polaris for the first time in Record Breaker. That metallic ringing effect that's added to her voice hurts my ears. I managed to get the Hero leveled high enough so that I could bring Lucifer Frost into the final battle. He's pretty sweet, lots of MP and it's really easy to max out his Magic upon the initial fusion.

You know I realize the reason Arcturus likely doesn't speak any human language is due to lacking full access to the Akashic Records.
Also the whole Data form/Corporeal form deal they make about the Triangulum makes me wonder if their form inside the Akasha Stratrum might look vastly different to their physical form.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. So I just fought Yamato on Saturday Toward Coexistence. The first time went badly. The second time went worse.
The third time I had a Python, so he didn't even get to attack in combat. Was a small bit of horror when Revive brought back Remiel and Arioch in the Matchless derived second combat round, but my demon pair managed to take them out and Holy Dance finished Yamato off. Max magic MC does not mess around.
Quick question: are there any route exclusive skill cracks on Daichi's route? I remember there are for AO's.

I don't think so, but some Auto Skills like Health Save and Grace can only be found in data cards that appear on the last day's free battles (on all routes tho').

I remember getting Grace by accident my first playthrough of the original. Didn't know it was data card exclusive.
Another question, are the Fate demons the same in Sept and Tri stories? I want to do the Triangulum story, but I also want a few things from the Septentrionne path. One more playthrough would get me some demons(Lugh, Shiva, not!Teddy Roosevelt as a Fiend, maybe Belzebub and the Alice line) and AO's path exclusive skillcracks. BUT I have no idea how much overlap there is. Might be worth moving on, especially if I can score the last of the Fate demons.

Yeah, the Fate demons remain the same.
Sweet, thanks.
1 day later edit: I've just fused a Purple Mirror with Reflect Physical and Reflect Force, along with Hero Soul. Took me half an hour to get the macca for the components and the necessary levels. Worth it.

So, I've gotten back to playing SMTIV, and I've gotten pretty darn far, (I think I've just gotten to Blasted Tokyo; I'm pretty sure that's what it's called,) and while I still like the game, I've started to notice some serious problems with the alignment system. I took a look at a walkthrough, and apparently, I just got 11 points towards Law by A)not killing several folks in cold blood, and B) showing some guy my gauntlet to get out of a cell. Seriously? And yeah, I know that your ending depends on how many alignment points you have rather than any specific choices you make, (aside from being the ultimate Nihlist and siding with the White,) which I didn't have as much of a problem with until it dawned on me how many points you can gain towards Law just by being well mannered. Just because I'm a nice, polite guy doesn't mean I want to enslave humanity under the iron heel of an angelic dictatorship, though at the same time, I shouldn't have to act like a murderous dick just to keep my nonalignment points from going too high. Ultimately, I think Laws' the ending I'm heading towards;, unless the 'Change the Status Quo' line I've heard about is enough to put me into Neutral, though I doubt it. I'm not the only one who thinks this makes no sense whatsoever, right? (I even sided with Walter when heading to the Reactor; in any other SMT game, that would be enough to lock me off of the Law path. Not so much here, I guess...)

So I'm almost done with the Law ending in IV. After that I'll be moving on to De Su 2: BR.
You gotta start somewhere. There are plenty of other choices that can get you points one way or the other. I played as a guy that abhors needless violence and promotes personal freedom. Didn't have to murder anyone in cold blood, and still managed to get the Neutral ending.

That's what I've been trying to do, but the last time I went to see the Cynical Man, he told me I was a 'polite man', and I just got 11 more points in law from not killing those people and showing my gauntlet, so I don't know. I did go with Walter and push the button though, so we'll see how it goes. Although, if I end up getting Law, then the White may just be right.

well for starters stay the hell away from the suicidal woman in ikebukuro near the terminal.
iirc hamburger time said either choice is 10 points in the obvious alignment.
It will hurt, but if you get by, you'll return it twenty fold.
Meanwhile, I'm talking with Kiyoharu again, along with Akira. The former is looking......as sane as usual.....which is not at all.
