Yeah, the character design for the first one is from the mangaka of Yozakura Quartet who also did the character design of Durarara. While the second game had character and Septentriones' story and art done by the mangaka of Bokurano.

No, while Mohiro Kitoh did indeed design the Septentriones, Suzuhito Yasuda still did the characters.

He did? Well then, the phrase on the Devil Survivor 2 {Trope}} page makes it sound like Mohiro Kitoh did the ones from the second one:

Does this storyline and artistry seem familiar to you? Work on the Septentriones' story and art is done by none other that Mohiro Kitoh!

Art also refers to the Septentriones. He did both the art for the Seven and their backstories.

its been a while but if i recall yozakura quartet wasnt that bad about the humungous tits.

it was just as bad about the helium tho.

durarara! i only recall one or 2 particular characters with large (helium) inflated tits. something that probably has to do with how Io- i mean Anri having huge tits is a plot point in the final arc of the anime, and if everyone had huge helium inflated tits then she wouldnt stand out (because of incredibly dull character design)

gah.

it was a really close call during the chaos vs independant io and daichi fight after io summoned lugh.

;_; i thought id pretty much lost the fight the moment i realised the only group i took out before she did it was daichi, they all have annoying skills and lugh makes them stronger, and all of my units except hinako (chaos wave) were right next to those annoying groups who were about to move next while 2 my groups were sick because of daichi.

and then lioh came and one shotted everyone untill only hinako was left...

and then hinako just barely beat her with a companion to spare, took out 2 more units who came after her and then it all went downhill with the last two units from the south when it turned out one of them had evil bind >.> and that elephant thing that repels phys

but still, i persevered and somehow took out both, although hinako was definately going to die if multistrike didnt hit enough times or missed once or didnt go first

so i got really damn lucky ._.

Good thing you went with Yamato for your first playthrough. Fighting the Osaka faction for the first time in other routes is brutal because Keita can wipe entire parties out in one shot, and it's even worse in Ronaldo's route due to the stage you fight them at. And that's not even getting into Yamato himself...

I went with AO's route for a first playthrough. I think that might have the most manageable battle with Yamato, no matter how annoying the start of it is.

Once I figured out which demons to use Sage of Time was easy. I didn't even have to use anyone but the Protagonist to finish him.

Now Lilith and her battlefield angers me so much.

Dragons make everything better. Pair with Kishin for extra hilarity.

EDIT: Oh, and equip Ban Mystic, that might shut Lilith's charm ability right down.

It's not Lilith that I have a problem with.

It's all those humans you can't kill or you get a game over.

...uwah this guy seems like a massive pain in the ass, even in comparison to the others...

also, judging from what i remember from airi's fate route...

is she really one to talk to anyone about being selfish?

moreover, why do i get the feeling the primary reason she joined ronaldo was because she thinks she will be the first to go because she cant play the piano for...some reason? i forgot what it was...

I thought Benny was always one of the easier Desserts to defeat. I didn't go in prepared and just crushed him in the second fight against him. If you defeat both Benny Buds like I did then six will drop from above around Trumpeter. You must leave at least two characters there to crush them or it's mission failed.

Tsunderes never seem to realize when they are being hypocrites most of the time.

I didn't find Benetnasch to be that hard to defeat. Most of the damage I took didn't come from it, but rather the poisoned stage. Just give your humans healing spells and you should be fine.

no seriously, i need help here.

also what in the fuck is going on with life drain?

it seems completely random in its strength.

otome can somehow go from doing 25 damage on fumi to 259 damage. and its not tied to her health either. she was at half when the result was 25, and nearly full when 259 happened.

Life Drain does extra damage when the user is missing health, the more health lost the more damage it does.

so, after wandering around gamefaqs message board for...some reason

i came across a neat little thread about the merits of meritocracy

and very quickly, it was pointed out we really know enough, and an awful lot of details are left up to your assumptions...

so i got an idea for the next smt game: roughly halfway through the new world is made; either the law world or the chaos world

and then we explore it. we see what the characters actually intended. and then we get 3 different endings for each world: agreeing with what it became and staying with it, going for the opposite extreme, or remaking another world from the same extreme but in a different variant.

or the neutral path which is centered around stopping all sides from changing the original world and ultimately working your way up to way of making the world permanently unalterable by supernatural means (but there is no reset button so the deathcount that inevitably racks up stays the way it is and there is ultimately no golden ending)

So... SMT 2? grin

Well, that was "Neutral end, then Messians take over anyway". Which ties in nicely to one of the tenets of the Neutral philosophy, that you *have* to fight for it.
