Narumi said as he placed the Skull Memory into the magnum.

SKULL! MAXIMUM DRIVE!

SKULL PUNISHER!

Narumi shoots a large purple bullet at the Octopus, with boiling water surrounding it.

"Bloyo, bloy bloy bloyo bloyyy..." <Sorry, but sometimes these things happen...> said Kirby, patting the broken Yellow on the back.

Turning to Jorge the puffball smiled then quickly shut his mouth when he remembered they were underwater.

That was my ride I was telling you about before. My Warpstar.

As Kirby shot those thoughts into the Spartan's mind, the yellow platform returned to him.

"Bloyo..." <I'm sorry friend. I hope I won't ever have to do that again. You're okay, right? Why aren't you talking to me?!>

...

<Oh yeah, you're a machine. Never mind.>

The octopus lost another tentacle to Narumi's attack, but kept swimming away; soon it was out of sight altogether.

Ecco's voice echoes from further within.

I FOUND THE BLACK HUNTER, BUT SHE IS TRAPPED. I NEED YOUR HELP TO GET TO HER.

Ravage swam further into the cave, noting with alarm that his corrosion was advancing rapidly; it wouldn't be long now before the rust became dangerous.

"That air pocket you mentioned?"

JUST UP AHEAD; IT IS BEHIND THE BARRIER TRAPPING THE BLACK HUNTER.

-Yellow tries looks up at Kirby, clearly distraught, he then sits down and checks his oxygen-

"i have enough" Yellow whispers to no-one in particular.

-He begins to build furiously.-

-Saren drifts away from the wall, unconscious-

Hahli, somewhat stunned from her encounter with the octopus, regained focus and swam furiously towards the cave.

I heard you, little one...that's impressive.

Jorge zoomed into the cave after Ecco.

Tell me there's enough for all of us.

He turned to Hahli.

You alright? We almost lost you there.

-Saren proceeds to hit the cave floor with a resonant THUD-

"I'm fine," said Hahli, her tone harder and fiercer than usual.

"Uh... Bloyo?" <Guys? I think someone might want to look at that alien guy who hangs with us but is kinda evil and stuff.>

Kirby was bobbing over Saren's collapsed body. Part of him wanted to poke it, but he knew this guy was capable of being very angry. Like, really, really angry.

"Maybe if I....no..."

-Still just building-

He was a little taken aback by her tone, though been somewhat understandable, as she nearly got dragged into the cave by an giant, nigh-invincible octopus.

Alright. Just making sure.

Then he cursed under his breath (mentally) when Kirby pointed out that Saren was unconscious. He was hoping that they'd forget about him. The Spartan was sure he could handle Ravage if they ever had to fight to the death, but the turian proved to be more formidable, so far.

THERE SHOULD BE; IT LOOKS VERY BIG TO ME, AND THE BLACK HUNTER HAS BEEN USING IT FOR A LONG TIME WITH NO DISCOMFORT.

Ravage swam through a narrow tunnel of the cave, entering a large chamber in which Ecco swam restlessly. Several large, translucent crystals floated in the corners of the chamber, bobbing gently and rotating but otherwise remaining perfectly in place. If these gems were anchored to the wall by physical restraints or some force, Ravage could not detect it.

A fifth crystal bobbed in front of a large tunnel on the far end of the chamber, behind which a mature orca could be seen resting with her head above the surface of a large airpocket.

The Decepticon frowned. Even accounting for its size, there was no way that this whale could not simply slip past the crystal and swim for freedom. Something else was at work here...

I HEAR SOMETHING, YOUNG SINGER—OR RATHER, SEVERAL SOMETHINGS. ECCO, WHO IS THERE?

"What are we waiting for?" said Hahli. "Let's go," she said, propelling the unconscious Saren into the cave by means of a water current.

Jorge just couldn't understand Hahli at times. She didn't stand for injustice, yet she kept assisting bastards like Saren. Very well...I hope this doesn't bite us in the arse later, he thought as she carried the Turian.

The team then entered the room with the crystals.

...Don't remember those being in the ocean.

-Yellow appeared to everyone[1]◊ else, he wasn't any bigger but he could move faster.-

''Crystals. I thought I saw enough of these in Xen."

Gordon advanced, looking around.

So, can these crystals come loose? Gordon wondered.

Ravage frowned.

"What's the problem here? We need air."

Ecco swam about, looking at the party with an apologetic squawk.

THE GLYPH BARS ENTRANCE TO THE AIR POCKET. WE CANNOT GET THROUGH UNLESS WE SOLVE ITS PUZZLE, AND THE BLACK HUNTER CANNOT GET OUT.

"A puzzle? Okay, let's have it."

Easy, figured the puffball, making his hammer magically reappear. We smash 'em!

Ecco turned to face the gently bobbing crystal and sang a single note to it. In response, the glyph stopped rotating and hung in place for a moment; then the crystal oscillated, and a brief series of five notes emanated from it. Once the sequence was complete, it repeated twice more, and then the glyph ceased its oscillation and resumed rotating.

Ravage blinked, his anger slowly building.

"You mean to tell us that a slagging find the melody puzzle is the only thing standing between us and fresh air?!"

Without waiting for an answer, Ravage jetted towards the gap between the tunnel walls and the glyph—only for an unseen force to gently yet firmly repel him.

Jorge stared at Ecco, unamused.

You're bloody joking. We could die in here.
