Jorge slowed to a halt once he saw Gordon and Narumi shooting at the Hungry One. He couldn't figure out how the latter was doing it, but that didn't matter. The Spartan drew his combat knife, just in case the beast wasn't finished by the assault. Of course, he didn't know that Craft was attacking, too...

Jagged Alliance 2 LP (Redux) (Closed!)

-Yellow made a dark-matter platform above the water and begun making torpedoes headed for the hungry one-

The shark screeched again and again with each impact of the party's combined assault, its geometric lines staying red for nearly ten seconds after the fire had abated. Once they had returned to their ordinary silver hue, however, several small cracks began to spread between them, blue radiance glowing from within.

The beast accelerated towards Eddie, its maw opening wide to reveal cracked and glittering teeth that seemed to pulsate with alien colours; blades of silver light enveloped its fins, literally cutting through the water and boiling it to steam as it swam.

Ravage reached the monster and raked a claw along its side, drawing yet another screech from the beast. The jaguar grinned maliciously as his claws ripped a small chunk of some dark material from the beast's hide.

"Keep at it! This beast is no demon, no fiend! Whatever it is, it is mortal—it can feel pain! It can be hurt!!! "

"You know, I read once that sound travels much faster through water than through air."

-he draws his guitar-

"Let's test that out!"

-he blasts a tasty fucking riff directly into the beast's mouth-

Gordon decided that just peppering the shark with shots wasn't going to do enough damage.

He triggered the secondary fire on the pulse rifle, the orb of volatile energy hissing as is sliced through the water.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

-Yellow really wanted to just electrocute the beast...but he figured it might have bad repercussions, so he just dropped a 2-ton steel geometric cube on the beast, instead-

The shark screeched again as Eddie's soundwaves struck it full in the mouth, causing some of its teeth to fall out and others to shatter into a fine black powder. The beast torqued its body reflexively in an attempt to evade the source of its pain, bringing a pectoral flipper blade around to slash at the roadie's chest.

Again came the red lines as Gordon's shot struck it, lasting for fifteen seconds this time. The shining blue cracks were spidering across the beast's body, growing wider with every passing second; clearly the beast was beginning to weaken under their onslaught.

The cube crashed down onto the altered beast, and yet again it screeched and turned red.

Then Ecco slammed into the Hungry One from below at top speed, and it went sailing clear of the water; small pieces of it began to break off and disintegrate.

As Kirby sunk deeper and deeper into the water; he felt the urge grow. He recognized the calling now and tried to angle himself so that he would land near its source.

"Bllloooyoo..." <Long time no see...>

"Evii is right though" -Saturn "I didn't know you were a bitch Evii." -Lior Val

Travis continued to walk down the road, carrying Tybalt for quite some time, Eventually, he reappeared in front of another portal.

"Already? Alright then..." He walked through and appeared several dozen feet in the air before slamming into a ocean below. He swam back up above the water and coughed up some of it.

"The hell? Why the hell are we in the middle of the fucking ocean?" He yelled, before seeing flashed down below and looking to see the fight between a glowing shark, a dolphin, and everyone else.

"...Well great, I don't my weapons are going to work underwater without giving me another nasty shock."

That's it! We're killing it!

Jorge grinned, but said grin soon faded when Jorge found that it was getting harder to hold his breath. He was running out of air. The Spartan zoomed upwards and surfaced, letting out a loud gasp.

Cirno raised her hands up and created a spear of ice. She flung her hands forward, making the spear fly at the Hungry One. Once it was fired though she started to fly away from it.

The spear took the beast right where its eyes should be, and again came that horrid metallic screech. This time, however, the creature's lines did not turn red, and the jagged faultlines running between them abruptly spread to cover its entire body with a loud CRACK. The shark began to shudder, and more and more pieces of its dark matter began to fall off and evaporate into thin air.

-Saren fiddles with his omni-tool, pointing it at the shark; he looks bored-

Craft plunged into the water with a mighty splash and began sinking. However, he suddenly realised that for some reason he had small water jets in the soles of his boots... and internal diagnostics warned him of the unusual nature of the water. He swam up to join the others, his cloak billowing behind him.

Locking you up on radar since '09

Jorge dove back underwater. He sped at the Hungry One, aiming to drive his combat knife deep into its head.

Eat this, you son of a-!

Gordon triggered... something in his suit. He didn't know what, but he suddenly found himself zooming down towards the shark. His boots clacked against its back, and after a moment of fear, he decided to take advantage of his situation.

Gordon pointed his pulse rifle down and shot the secondary fire directly at its back.

As if in response to Saren's attempt at tampering with the shark, a burst of energy erupted from one of the many cracks and enveloped the turian. He had but half a second to react before this silvery light pulled him down, far beneath the surface.

The knife plunged several inches into the monster's head and stuck fast, drawing yet another crack and another screech. Steam seemed to billow from the numerous faults, and a low whine began to issue forth from its mouth...

Ecco rammed the Hungry One yet again, sending it and its three passengers flying once more. It was clear that this beast was nearing death at last.

Gordon tumbled end over end in the water, struggling to right himself, still tightly gripping his pulse rifle. The whatever it was triggering in his suit again, aiding him in righting himself.

His glasses still miraculously in place, Gordon looked around wildly, trying to locate the shark once more.

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

"Jorge dear boy shouldn't that be smile you son of a bitch?"

" I did the right thing, didn't I? It all worked out in the end." "In the end? Nothing ends, Adrian. Nothing ever ends."

The Spartan pulled on his knife, creating a gash in the Hungry One's head. Then Ecco knocked it out of the water, taking the Spartan with it. Jorge yanked out his knife and sailed through the air.

"Oh damn."

Ravage fell off the shark as it landed in the water, the impact knocking him senseless. The jaguar floated just beneath the surface, just out of touch wiht relatity and unaware of the rust rapidly spreading across his form.

The beast, meanwhile, was clearly almost dead; more and more pieces were beginning to break off and disintegrate, and the hum began to grow to a fever pitch.

A roar erupted from its maw, along with streams of light, as the beast righted itself and sped towards the still-submerged Saren, maw open wide. Rays of blinding silver light were pouring forth from its fragmented body with increasing frequency and intensity, and the whine continued to grow louder.

Craft fired a shot at the shark-thing, anticipating its' movements.
