"Yeah, I think Rey told me about that. Whoever's making us do these must have a sick sense of humor." Raz looked around the room at the sound of clapping. "Whos't there?"

Raz scratched his head. "You didn't answer my question. Who are you?"

—PHANTOM displays all of the available information on the Nomads using his projections. —

Yes! Although I doubt I'll ever be able to look them in the face again. Especially you, Gordon.

-The possessed Dopant snickered maliciously-

Gordon doesn't answer. Instead, he ejects the shells from his shotgun, loads it, and then blasts the possessed dopant in the chest.

"Shut up."

"Oh, dear. The toad, the monkey, and the dog have all screwed up."

Raz scanned PHANTOM's projection. "Huh. So these Nomads are the guys keeping us here."

"No. I don't wish to fight you." Narumi said, taking out his Gaia Memory and canceling his transformation. "Though if you want we can pass the time watching the DVD." Narumi said.

The Dopant fades away after it got shot.

"It's not like I thought it would kill you, I just felt the need to blast you in the chest after you said that," Gordon replied.

The silver light caused him to throw his hands over his eyes.

Raz slipped his goggles over his eyes. That was the purpose of the goggles.

The pillar of light faded a few moments later, revealing a humanoid entity who was clearly artificial in nature.◊ The being was composed of primitive-looking clockwork, inlaid with silver, and the elegant silver robes it wore over its silver cuirass—not to mention the silver gladius it bore in one hand—gave it a distinctly Roman air. The machine's cool optics panned across the gathered Champions, the Lambda glyph on its chestplate glittering faintly with an inner light.

So these are the accused, Lord? the machine inquired, its voice clipped and mechanical, yet not entirely emotionless. Its words were curt and to the point.

"They are. You are familiar with their crimes?"

I am indeed, Master, the robot replied, flourishing its blade before pointing at the group with one iron finger.

Narumi blocks the light with his hat. "Then I might as well fight like one. Henshin." Narumi said, putting the Memory into the driver again.

Narumi's armor appeared. "Now. Let's count up your crimes..." Narumi said.

—The relativistic plasma rifle rose from the interior of the projector to point at the new entities, small shielding patterns swaying about the circle of projection. —

Gordon stowed his shotgun and pulled out his RPG. He didn't feel like taking the slow path in taking this out.

Raz readied himself into a fighting stance, one hand on his tample and the other streached at the kolyarut. "We didn't sign anything."

The words had not even finished leaving Raz's mouth before a set of glowing sheets of paper popped into existence, floating in mid-air before the Champions. They were clearly contracts of some sort, and the signatures were definitely in the handwriting of their respective Champions.

The evidence says otherwise, Razputin Aquato. Now then, shall you desist and resume your duties, or shall we be forced to draw arms?

With these words, the temperature in the entire common room suddenly plummeted by a staggering degree. A ray of jet-black energy lanced out from the Inevitable's fingertip, striking the plasma cannon and causing it to rust and warp to the point of uselessness before the very eyes of all present.
