First time on the music subforum requesting help.

I've been trying to get the "Driving Song" trope launched for a while, and it finally has enough hats. Now I just want any extra examples that anyone here can think of before it goes up.

Particularly in the country/folk section, since I don't know much about either.

It was already mentioned on the first page, but The Clash's Brand New Cadillac is my personal Song to Accelerate To.

Weird Al's My Own Eyes is a surprisingly good driving song.

Anything that has to do with suicide. Because it would be hilarious if something bad happens.

Maybe it's just me, but Highway to Hell by AC/DC would be good to put in a racing game or just drive to.

[up] I LOVE that song!grin

Gary Numan and Fear Factory's version of "Cars". The video might even feature a car crash, but I've seen the video countless times over the years and I still have no clue as to what happens in it.

Pendulum's "Watercolour". "Take me out of here" indeed.

I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiot

  • Bad Brains - Sailin' On (preferably Rock For Light version because it's faster)
  • Butthole Surfers - Who Was In My Room Last Night? (Dust Devil or Ulcer Breakout would be good too)
  • Faith No More - Digging The Grave
  • King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - Garage Liddiard
  • Led Zeppelin - Rock And Roll (I can't help but think of violence whenever I hear this one)
  • Monster Magnet - Black Mastermind
  • Nine Inch Nails - March Of The Pigs
  • Queens Of The Stone Age - Go With The Flow

Nonsense is better than no sense at all.

[up][up][up] Hello fellow Protomen Fan!

Proto Vision by Kavinsky is made for driving, especially since the music video which involves a car chase. In fact, his whole Out Run album is good for driving when you want to tap into that 80's synth feel.
