And I know it's kind of lame, but I think this reference was my favorite gag from any of the Futurama movies.

Wow, I can't believe that got no posts in a month.

Maybe there's a lesson to be learned from this.

While this is back, I'll say I have Rio and I kinda like it. "The Chauffeur" is a pretty awesome song.

Duran Duran is alright. I would prefer Spandau Ballet myself.

Spandau Ballet? The band did seem a bit too metrosexual to me.

I know that much is true.

I guess that was just one of the features of the whole New Romantic fashion scene.

Did anyone notice that the song that plays when you battle Dr. Robotnick in SonicTheHedgehog is "Planet Earth"?

Their early stuff certainly holds back the rain....

Duran Duran is awesome. One of my favorite '80s bands (and I like '80s music, so that is saying something). I still sing their songs at karaoke sometimes.

Their page definitely needs some love. It's had plenty of Wiki Magic, but barely anything on their actual lyrics. They also have a new album out, and it's Crowning Music of Awesome territory.

The problem with the Duran Duran TV Tropes page is that the description is, to a significant extent, lifted almost wholesale from the band's Wikipedia page. It probably needs rewritten.

I'm actually going to see them down in Dublin for my birthday, which should be good.
