Utterly incidental, boring, not terribly well-written article.

But there's this gem in the comments:

'Reverse sexism'?

It's a term used by people who fail to understand that sexism is simply sexism regardless of if the person being discriminated against is male or female. What's important is the gender or sex based discrimination, not the gender or sex of the target.

I read it, that the term is being used as a parody here doesn't meant that the standard use of the term doesn't need explaining. It's hard to understand a parody if you don't get what it's parodying.

Hey everyone check this awful article. Clearly the author doesn't know what he is doing.

The Percy Jackson example is changed from the books. There Sally is the one who used the Medusa head to turn Gabe to stone. Additionally, a detail they left out in the movie is that Gabe had actually hit her...

So anyway, she turns him to stone, and then sells the sculpture and makes a fair amount of money for it. Morally ambiguous, sure. But I'll have a hard time feeling sympathy for the man.

God, that movie screwed everything up.

As for Kung Fu Panda, that example's just stupid. Tai Lung was a dangerous criminal and murderer, and had basically just done a Redemption Rejection. He had his chance, and really, it's basically death in battle anyway.

Eh, we generally frown upon killing guys who can no longer fight back.

But the weird part is how freaking fine with it Po is. I mean, sure, killing Tai Lung is almost assuredly the right thing to do (considering there ain't nothin' going to keep him locked up), but Po is like, super cool with it.

All in all, I thought the entire article was sorta half-assed.

Yeah I was only talking about the movie version, but that part got edittted out. I wasn't talking about the books, Don't worry guys, I did my own research.

Cold-blooded execution is a cold-blooded execution no matter which way you slice it. The moral equivalent isn't even the death penalty, it's the cop declaring that the already-subdued suspect is too dangerous for trial and putting a bullet in his skull right there in the street.

You missed the chance to use a much better example from iCarly: there was an episode where Freddie says he doesn't think that You Tube guy Fred is funny, and everyone insults and harasses him for saying that.

And then Sam beats the shit out of him with a bat to make him retract his statement.

I thought you were pretty spot on with the iCarly example. I mean, I'm not sure if it's worthy of a # 2 spot, but the analysis itself is good. That rubbed me the wrong way even when I first watched it.

I personally would have had a clarifier for the Percy Jackson example. Something like "Now in the books, Gabe actually physically abused Percy's mom. But that's not even hinted at in the movie, so here he's basically just a jerk." Why was that edited out?

Don't really know what to say about the other two.

I don't think it's irredeemable, but there's probably some room for improvement.

Yes, that example is considerably more extreme, I think.

Oh editors modify a lot of stuff for it to be funnier. A lot of stuff was cut from the original draft. But I can't complain, on the contrary I'm grateful for their help. The orginal draft said something along the lines of "In the movie version..." and "in the book..."

about I carly and fred... yeah If I had know I would have showed it to the editors, maybe next time.

EDIT: Also gravity falls was cut from the final article as random trivia.

Nope, It was about Dipper murdering his paper clones with water and showing little regret afterwards. Note that this was before Dipper showed regret about Tyrone's death in "the last mabelcorn", probably that's why it was cut.

I agree with using Dipper over Stan.

That Stan should be in jail isn't a clever or witty observation. It's a blatant fact of his character. He makes no effort to hide it.
