Well they still fit the Black Kings non-human beliefs as he later adds Giants and Centaurs to his forces.
The op also shows Cat/Dog people on the Drifters side too along with other humans and a guy with animal ears.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. If the Drifters didn't show up, Elves would definitely join in Black King crusade, and why not? They have no love for humanity and for good reason too.
So the Dub premiered last night on Funimation's service. Josh Grelle is a way better VA than I've been giving him credit for.
I honestly thought that Shimazu would have an accent, given that he's from the Satsuma region.
Episode 6: I have always liked series that use the Action Episode then Exposition/Story Episode format and this is a good Story Episode. We find out who founded the Empire and meet some new characters who will be joining up with the mains (I do like the Count). I am very much looking forward to next weeks Toyohisa vs. Joan fight
Yeah, good episode, especially the clashes between Toyohisa and Nobunaga. Hilarious.
The Elves are good people, unwilling to kill that guy because he said he didn't do anything. Also, I feel like he'll become the but of many virgin jokes.
Okay, the fact that Easy, the power behind ends is... well the way she is is hysterical.
Wait, Hitler is behind the Orte empire? My god, that explains everything!
What the hell is that thing?!
Tora Tora Tora!
The revolution is gaining traction.
Uh oh, Jeanny is here.
Very good story episode.
Episode 7: Another great episode with a couple of nice fights and backstroy for the first couple of Ends. I was surprised that I enjoyed the Yoichi vs. Berserker Rais than I did the Toyohisa vs. Jeanne fight though as it was the other way around when I read the manga.
That was pretty lame. After all this talk about the Ends being dangerous, they lose the first battle pretty easily without accomplishing anything. I'm rather disappointed.
Part of what makes them dangerous is that people usually underestimate them and their monster hordes.
And this was their second battle, since they won the first.

Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Episode:
Yeah, I totally don't trust Seimei, seems like fanatic.
Nobunaga really thought it out. He has some big plans for a bitter old man.
Will Boob Glasses never catch a break?
Hey Elves, look at it like this - if you save Dwarves now you can hold it over their heads from now on. Well, you can hold most things over their heads, but still.
Episode:
Turns out a siege is easy when you have the elements of surprise, instant communication, ability to create your own walls and shit ton of explosives on your side.
Man, the dwarfs seen better days.
So, the people of this world are incapable of innovation? Seems like design problem.
Uh oh, that's one big dragon.
Farming orcs, that's a new one.
Here I was always believing that's a girl.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
I think he means Jean.
The Bronze Dragon
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.
Wasn't the term the Black King used when talking to the dragon gender-neutral? At least that was what I remember from the manga.
The ninth episode starts off with a bang.
As expected.
Episode:
So, uh Black King gave dragon cancer. Wow.
Who's the chick that was talking with Joan?
The Count is really goofy and it detracts from the tone of the story.
Princess Anastasia.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Well, I see why she would hold a grudge against the world.
Episode: Oh look, Drifters totally roll over opposition again.
This is getting boring.
Episode 12:I had forgotten about this part of the manga but that doesn't matter as it allowed me to come into the episode somewhat fresh and I did enjoy it quite a bit. The fight between Toyohisa and Hijikata Toshizō was cool but Nobunaga remains the best character in the series with his tactical skill and scenery chewing.
Overall this was a good end to a good series and it was probably one of my favourites of the season (alongside with Vivid Strike and Magical Girl Raising Project). There was an announcement of a second season but it is going to be in 20XX and considering Kouta Hirano's rather slow style it could still be a while.
Keep in mind that at this point they're still fighting the disorganized and scattered, small forces of an Empire that's in the process of collapsing. I'm not really surprised.
Anyways hi, I started marathoning this this morning and I love it. I like seeing all the stuff that's not only going into making an army, but also building a civilization. I'm on episode 10 right now and watching how Rasputin is making a religion and writing system for the Black King's civilization.

The funny thing is the Drifter's a building an army & gaining allies compromised mostly from Demi-Humans such as Elves while waging a war against a human supremacist empire who's oppressing them.
Now I can't defend humanity but people like the Elves & Dwarves definitely deserve to live for all the suffering they endured because of the humans.
