LBP 2 FTW! I'm totally planning on pre-ordering the limited collector's edition.
It comes with bookends for your games! And a Sackboy of your very own!
Little Big Planet 2 delayed because... not all PS 3's are connected to the internet?

WHAT?
Jonah Falcon...
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Hey Sony, if that's the case, wanna offer free ISPs to people without internet?
If it isn't piracy, Sony's been cheapskates. I know that Microsoft sends discs out to people without internet to update their dashboard. Or, of course, people without internet can't buy that yummy DLC like new costumes for Sackboy.

IT'S TOMORROW!@! TOMMORROW< GUYS 111111111
CURSE YOU FALLOUT NEW VEGAS!!! YOU DESTROYED MY PS 3 RIGHT BEFORE THIS!!
I really hope very good levels are made by the community. Far too many levels for the first game were about showing off what they could do while forgetting to be fun to play. My older brother said "this game looks good for people who like to make levels, but not people who want to play games," and he has a point.
I did enjoy what I played of the official levels in the beta, and I played the infamous first-person shooter level as well, which is impressively well-made. I also played a fair amount of crap.
But with the ability to change play mechanics, and things like the control seat (which the beta doesn't teach you how to use! I was unable to get a simple wheeled vehicle to work with that thing!) have a lot of potential to dramatically change level design.
Considering the amount of gems and amount of crap in the previous installment. I'm pretty sure that between a month or month and a half there will be already enough good stages online to enjoy a while.
Too lazy to have a decent sig.My younger brother just got his collectors edition copy, darn good stuff.
The amount of possibility this engine provides is simply overwhelming.
Behold, art. http://insanelyzanter.deviantart.com/Sturgeon's law always applies to LBP levels.
I thought the first Little Big Planet came with some great levels, enough to stand up on it's own without user created content.
I thought the level editor was great for making enviroments, but I want some more control over what powers I can give sackboy. The sequel seems like it'll adress that.

Put me in motion, drink the potion, use the lotion, drain the ocean, cause commotion, fake devotion, entertain a notion, be Nova ScotianFridge Brilliance: Da Vinci always calls you "Sack Thing" because the game has no way of knowing if you're playing as a Sackboy or Sackgirl!
Exactly!
OK, so my 12 year-old brother got this game the day it came out. I liked the first one (though I was never as into it as he was), and I figured I should give this one a try. From watching him play, it looked to be better than the first.
YES. I love this game - it's just so much fun! I swear, Little Big Planet is the anti-Grimdark. The fact that it's silly, lighthearted fun is what makes it so awesome. It's kind of refreshing to see a game that doesn't take itself seriously at all.
It's a little disappointing how short the story mode is, though. I mean, I haven't gotten through it, but my brother finished it in three days. Granted, he was playing a lot...but still. And besides, the story mode isn't the focus of the game.
I don't have any ideas for levels yet, but I'm so going to try that sometime.

I don't know who N-Dubz are but dayum
All the Ewoks will look up and shout, "Save us from the Klingons!" And I'll whisper, "Why so serious?"At first, I thought the game was fun, but I thought maybe the levels were inferior to the first one's because they were each too focused on one mechanic when the original had such good varitey within the levels.
...
THEN I SMACKED MYSELF ACROSS THE FACE FOR NOT REALIZING HOW MUCH FUN I WAS HAVING.
It's easily equal if not better to the first one. It's definetley better in terms of difficulty balance. Rember the The Bunker? The one with the super horrible, sodimizing wheel of agony? Gone. Hot Diggety Darn!
I wouldn't be surprised if this game could cure depresion.

I'm sure the delay to after Christmas really hurt it.
After all, with all the grabby kids and moms desperate for a new game that doesn't involve 20 bucketfulls of gore present-ed out, the game loses roughly half of its sales.
Didn't see a proper thread.
Demo incoming.
