It's almost like "Truth, Justice, Reasonably Priced Love, and a hard-boiled egg!", or "Women of negotiable affection."

Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.

I refuse to believe whoever came up with Filthy Acts at a Reasonable Price wasn't making fun of the translation BS.

The Stand's name is still D 4 C though, its just the move that has that name.

And apparently Made in Heaven became Maiden Heaven. Not sure how I feel about that one.

For awhile now, I've thought it's funny how most series tend to slightly change real-world names of things to avoid infringement. And then there's Jo Jo. Do I really need to say anything more?

I only just noticed that ASB is in stores here. Wonder when that happened, it completely slipped under my notice. Not sure if I'll be getting it yet, I still want to try the demo first.

Where do you live? Some stores apparently broke street date, it was meant to be out in Europe tomorrow.

Australia. So same release date.

I see. I'm gonna go pick up my copy tomorrow, got my preorder slip and everything. I'll laugh if it turned out GAME UK in Uxbridge broke the street date too though

I preordered it at a place that has never broken street date so I will have to pick it up tomorrow morning.

Should we add all the different names to the character pages later?

Yeah. Most of them are under the ASB page's Dub Name Change entry.

I am now confused as to whether this is a Gag Sub or not. Certainly looks like it.

[up][up] Somehow, given this site, I kinda figured.

[up] Could be. Also at one point the subs use "Crazy Diamond" but the very next sentence has "Shining Diamond"

I wish the Stardust Crusaders ED wasn't "Walk Like An Egyptian". It just doesn't fit a battle/adventure shounen imo, even if the tone is slightly comedic. We've got blood all over the place.

The obvious choice would have been a Dio or Rainbow song, the safe choice would have been Roundabout again.

Jojo has always had a goofy sense of humor, and I think the tone of "Walk Like An Egyptian" matches that perfectly. The comedy is as much a part of the series as the vampire-punching.

Is anyone else bugged by how easily Kakyoin recovered from having a spike removed from his brain?

[up]Stand users can recover from having their eyes pierced full of little spikes in the space of two panels, without even leaving scars or irritation.

Actually, the winner for "there's no way he could survive that" has to be Stroheim. Sure, they had cyborg technology. But how the hell did he survive long enough to get ANY medical attention?

He survived through NAZI SCIENCE, obviously.

And even if we ignore the explosion thing, he had a pillar man inside him. That can't be healthy. But NAZI SCIENCE!

It seems like someone lost their notes, though. Seems like the cyborg program stopped after they gave Joseph his hand.
