Something better than Epic Rock Papers Scissors was Epic Poker. Jotaro can kill you by bluffing he's going to kill you.

Totally. No contest. The real question is, would he win against Arsene Lupin?

Okay, I started reading this series, and everybody looks outrageously muscular. When does the art get better, and when do the stands come into play?

We discussed it earlier in the thread. Like, the fifth post was about that.

Stands don't appear until Part 3. Which reminds me I need to finish it.

The Abridged series is awesome, but unfinished. And damn, as a fellow Muslim, I undertand how pissed Abdul is at the racist jokes he gets, which for some reason makes them doubly hilarious.

Hrm.. I got to where "the boss" is defeated in Giorno's arc, but I'm not quite sure I understand what happened afterward. Several dead people aren't dead anymore? Did Gold Experience Requiem push a Reset Button or something?

I'm still reading it.. and what.. the.. crap. Lucy Steel, the head.. that's just... yikes.

There are no words for how messed up Steel Ball Run is.

Aye, I figured better to dig up the old thread than to try and make a new one, since threads don't "Expire" on this board. Love the series though, crazy as it is.

I began reading it starting this year. I know I'm pretty late, but sometimes the best things take some time with me (I didn't discover Touhou until the year Mountain of Faith was released). At first I wanted to skip to part 3 right away, but I read through 1 and 2 anyway and didn't find them bad - they had their own charm and really set up the whole "tactical battle" thing before delving into super powers. (Really, Jonathan defeating Vampire Dio without super powers? CMOA)

For me, no part was merely "So Bad, It's Good" or "So Bad Its Horrible" - but that was because I knew exactly what I would get into. I didn't with One Piece, and that's why I dropped the Manga after I got to part 19 (the Anime hadn't been released in Germany yet at that time, and One Piece itsself wasn't as widely known back then), so I can somewhat understand people getting turned off by the ridiculousness of some things, but in my opinion, that's what it makes so awesome.

As one of you postet further up in the thread, I lost So D at the very start and never got it back - but in this case, it proves that Tropes Are Not Bad and Tropes Are Not Good. Jojo WORKS because it is frigging INSANE and runs with it. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Part 4 has its own thread devoted almost entirely to finding the few decent translations that exist. The rest can be found on Bleach Exile and probably many other places.

I think after finishing Steel Ball Run, Araki should take a break and do a 'remastered' version of Parts 1 & 2 with his more recent artsytle.

Finally got volume 15 (27) of Viz's version of Part 3 the other day, just one more volume to go now. It's really sad that this will likely only be the 'official' release of anyhting Jo Jo (at least in the states).
