Didn't think anything could top Mind Jack this generation. I was wrong.
Bleye knows Sabers. So one of his most recent reviews is on Total War Rome II, and to say the least, he is far from happy with the game (at least as of the time the review was uploaded, ie September 9 of this year), and spent a lot of time detailing its supposed shortcomings.
Normally, I'd believe him on face value, but when I brought this up in the Total War General Discussion thread, the one person that reacted to it completely disagreed with him by virtue of both disliking his review style and thinking half the cons he brought up weren't completely valid.
so,after watching his Star Trek Trexels review,I got to see one of the worst offenders of this current trend with DL Cs and pay-to-advance in video games. That game is a shameless scam.It costs three bucks, but then wait and see how much you will spend if you play the game for too long...
^^It was probably rather accurate review considering what majority of reactions around the release was :P Dunno whether game is patched now.
I really liked Joe's video on the Top 10 Gaming Controversies of 2013. I like how Joe has a way of looking at the bigger implications of things beyond video games, and how he expresses his opinions clearly.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting Agency^How did that first video even cause fan boy rage? <_< I mean it portrays Google as gloating villain so why do they take it as pro content id or as insult?
Supposedly, the guy that made that video didn't like Angry Joe in the past and disagreed with him in some places. And with that in mind, people though that video was condescending towards Angry Joe and his fans.
Angry Joe's response to Jew Wario's death.
Never watched or heard of Jew Wario before, but hearing Joe's passionate words kind of made me feel like I too lost someone important, resulting in me getting misty-eyed. My heart goes out to him and others who loved the dude.

He's only done a dozen reviews over the past year, and hasn't made videos he promised he would make (the Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor review, the third Top 10 countdown in which a series of sponsored Let's Plays have appeared instead). I hear he's also become a major jerkass to his fans on Twitter.
People are saying he's descended into a serious Dork Age. I wouldn't disagree with them.

Solo, I'm a soloist on a solo list. All live, never on a floppy disk.Apparently Joe declared that he is no longer doing Nintendo videos due to the copyright policy. In my opinion, both sides are in the wrong. While what Nintendo doing is underhanded, I have little sympathy for the Lets Players since if they're making so much, they can afford a cut. Weird that he only made one Nintendo video out of all his vidoes being for PS 4, PC or X Bone. Also ironic since he keeps giving EA money and review their games when EA screws everyone over with their rushed titles and microtransactions.
It's over Anakin! I have the high ground! What makes you think let's players earn so much they can effort a cut?
I'm pretty sure they're not.
Enough to survive and make a living, maybe.

My quick, easily ignored two cents on the issue—since I've barely heard of Angry Joe outside the context of this dispute—is that while Nintendo's being a bit asinine in their policies regarding Let's Plays and the like, Angry Joe also should've known better. It's certainly not a new policy; Nintendo's held the reputation of most backward of the big three regarding the Internet for a while, specifically because of those policies. It's not like it was dropped out of the blue, as a random "Screw you" from the evil corporation—it's something well-publicized and well-known, and it's something directly relevant to Angry Joe's livelihood.
Essentially, Angry Joe should've known better and been aware of the possibility of what ultimately went down, and could've taken it better, while Nintendo needs to take a few steps forward into the future. Both sides screwed up here.
And now he's apparently going after Rooster Teeth for bringing this up during their news show. Personally I think that it's his own fault this happened, since the policy was started in January and he chose to ignore it.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.How is he "going after" Rooster Teeth?
Apparently on their news video they either criticized him and he's attempting to counter with inaccurate information.
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Ah, sounds about right.
I vaguely remember Nintendo Capri Sun talking about something like this about how he was going to still do Nintendo videos even if he could not get any money out of it. Not sure if this is the same thing or not.
Also curious as to whether this was an automatic ID match or Nintendo directly putting a strike down. I know enough from Jim Sterling and Total Biscuit to know there's a difference, but not enough to identify which this is, and Joe hasn't been clear on that.
EDIT: Ah, okay, I thought this was different than the NCS case because the video wasn't on the channel, but it turns out he pulled it after Nintendo shut down the monetization. Unforunately, that makes Joe look worse, as it makes it look like he won't do a video if he can't make money off it. As others have said, it's a bad policy that Nintendo needs to stop, but at the same time Joe looks dumb for walking into it as blindly as he did.
That all said, good fuck is that Rooster Teeth vid hard to watch. The sheer amount of dripping snark is nauseating.

Joe should have known better, but it doesn't excuse Nintendo and their practices. They don't get to win by taking money from a guy who needs to make a living.
I'm a fan of Rooster Teeth, but that video was annoyingly patronizing.
What I don't understand is why he didn't talk to anyone before posting those videos. He's friends with at least half of Normal Boots, and they do Nintendo stuff all the time, so surely one of them would have given him a heads up.
Joe knew full in well what would happened because it happened to a previous Mario Kart video he made. I don't particularly feel sorry for him because, even if it's a policy most dislike, he still completely disregarded it and then wants to act like a dear caught in headlights.
This thread is so old! I discovered him (through You Tube recs, probably) when he did his review of Aliens Colonial Marines. Then recently, I discovered his review of Ride to Hell: Retribution through the Horrible.Video Games page on this here wiki, and then binged on a lot of his other videos. I enjoy his Caption Humor and how he reviews games related to things that he has a passion for, even if the games themselves aren't very good a la Green Lantern and Dragon Ball Z for Kinect. I thought his review of the latter was really awesome because he actually loves DBZ so much, and it shined through in that review.
I thought it was awesome how he tore down Ride to Hell for its awful Rescue Sex scenes and the implications thereof.
