It does seem less fun than it used to be, and there doesn't seem to be much going on plot-wise (compared to the other show I watch, Person of Interest)

Lazarus is really Beckett's mom and Bracken is another figurehead.

Oh hey, it's that guy who plays Detective Terney.

Having now actually watched the episode in question, I reread that and I go... what?

I kind of hope it's not Bracken, though. He's been the bad guy before, and they've made it way too obvious of a choice... and you could get some interesting plots out of that, where Beckett's drive to see the guy responsible for her mother's death brought to justice leads her to stubbornly ignore the truth.

"A Ninja stole the murder weapon."...given Castle's reaction I'd guess that was on his bucket list.

Seriously, what DIDN'T we have yet?

The only thing i can think of is werewolfs.

My family and I just discovered this show through Netflix, and we're really enjoying it. It's got some good quirkiness, and acknowledges the fact that we come back to procedurals for the characters, not the mysteries. I'm hoping the third and fourth seasons aren't the decline everyone is saying they are, because so far we love the show. I admit though, I do hate the Unrequited Love Switcheroo part of Will They or Won't They?, so I'm not looking forward to that, but if the characters are still good, then I'll give it at least one .

About the Will They or Won't They?... let's just say that sorts itself out in later seasons. (:

...*mutters something about not being sure about that until after the next episode*

Overall, I liked how they wrapped up the Beckett's mother's murder storyline. It was really dark and depressing in previous seasons, but it worked perfectly fine here. I didn't find it to dark, even though there are almost no jokes, but I was still hooked by Castle and Beckett working as a couple <3 and Beckett just generally being a badass.

Last episode was SO satisfying.

I spent the entire episode literally trembling, shaking so hard....I'm still trembling. just... holy ducklings with typewriters. I...I can't even. Oh god i'm tumblr. but I seriously can't even comprehend this. I can't stop grinning. that was so...perfect, so satisfying. I loved the elephants, I loved that final scene.

I honestly wouldn't mind if the next episode was the series finale. It feels like all the loose ends are finally tied up.

Oh, that's right. Forgot about him. I guess they do have something left after all. And I guess the stuff with Castle's family hasn't really been tied up, but there's not too much to tie there.

Its already been renewed for a 7th season so...

Oh that ending was bullshit. They're going drag out the wedding as long as they want.

Yeah, I wasn't really a fan of that episode. It felt too unbelievable, and jumped all over the place. It was like a cartoon.

Things that were good about that episode: the main cast having fun together.

Things that were bad about that episode: the other 80%.

Agreed. I think they should have taken the entire episode and focused on the cast; No murder, No kidnapping, No mystery.

Just the characters and working together to make the wedding perfect. They can have the wedding fall apart, they can have the mishaps and the sitcom drama, just... Don't build an entire season around having a wedding and then skip out on it...

$200 says that they'll get married at the very end of the season premier after they find Castle and it'll be in a small chapel or something with only the closest friends and etc.

I seriously hope so, we don't need another Lois And Clark

I think they're going to drag on the Bracken line again.
