Those books were awesome. Terry Deary is a genius.

Funny, I guess we have the opposite problem.

They were fantastic! My mum happily let me get one every month or so, since it both entertained and educated me in a way that benefited everyone.

I'd seriously recommend them to everyone.

Only thing I remember getting really annoyed about was the Scottish one making fun of Shakespeare for all the inaccuracies of Mac Beth - even though it was intended to be a historically accurate documentary-like piece in the same way that, say Brave Heart was. I.e. not at all, it was knowingly fiction and nothing else.

History fans who like it gory and messy rejoice.

It is coming back with new episodes.

Oh man this series.

This series is the best. I think my favorite was a tie between Angry Aztecs, Terrible Tudors and Vicious Vikings.

I have a soft spot for Dark Knights and Dingy Castles since it was the first one I ever got. That poor thing is held together by a rubber band.

We don't have CBBC here, so I have to watch the show on You Tube. Not terribly convenient, I have to say.

I love this series! It's got so many Incredibly Lame Puns and dark comedy.

I have a copy of The Rotten Romans and The Measly Middle Ages, but I've never been able to buy any more of them.

Last year I found Bloody Scotland while browsing a local bookstore and loved it. I would definitely be up for reading more in the series, but med school has killed a lot of my reading time.

I wish the show aired in Canada.

I've had a lot of the books for years now. I love them.

Commodus verse was probably the best one.

Though Nero's comes close.

I felt that Elagabalus's verse was weaker than the others.

But what rhymes with his name?

He made "Farest" rhyme with his name.
