The Pokédex - Extended Fanon Edition

Why exactly are we talking about what Superheroes various Legendaries represent? It seems odd.

Also if anybody is Supes my vote goes to Deoxys.

What if after the Gligarman incident he got an animted version of the character to come out.

Also, weird thing about Captain America == Braviary. The english rename was mostly image-washing for the English audience, considering that the japanese name is Wargle, and represents raptoring. Talk about Values Dissonance. Still, if that was the concern, Hawk and Dove look more fitting to Braviary as an equivalent, and that had the benefit of there having at least one or two comparable Mandibuzz equivalences.

On a more serious note, I just checked the Durant entry and there are no references to Heatmor whatsoever in there, so someone needs to do something about that, since Durant : Heatmor :: Zangoose : Seviper ( :: Kyogre : Groudon)

...Who's Aquaman, anyway? I have no idea about any Pokemon that could be Aquaman, unless we want to nominate Vaporeon for that.

Are there any Pokemon with hooks for hands?

Braviary seems more like Stephen Colbert instead of Captain America.

ehh, durant: heatmor isn't really the same as Seviper:Zangoose. Seviper and Zangoose have an inborn hatred of eachother and will attack eachother on sight, while Heatmor is merely the natural predator of Durant. One is a rivalry while the other is a simple predator/prey relationship.

That being said, I probably should throw in a line like "Heatmor is the natural predator of Durant"

Have we gone in detail about the types yet? I know we touched on some of that in the articles, but think that one, or seventeen, articles dedicated to explaining them would be a nice, professional-looking touch.

We have an article on Ghosts, and I wanted to do one on Dragon or Dark-types at some point.

I'd volunteer to do the Dragon type, but I don't do this type of thing that well, which is unfortunate as I'm an expert on the Dragon type...

Speaking of which, I think there should be a reference to [[Dragonheart]] somewhere in one of the entries for the Dragon types, preferably either Dragonite or Salamence.

I'd prefer the Type Articles be edited to be less taxonomic and more legislative.

Hey guys, I'm loving the Pokédex still, keep up the good work. And since you're now doing elemental types, do you think you could include reasons for weaknesses and resistances in those articles? That'd be pretty neat.

Types aren't biological, they're made by the league based on analysisng Pokemon into broad groups. Kinda like Weight Classes in Wrestling.

On the other hand, I may do a certain Pokemon once I finish the Kami Trio. Or maybe both, depending on how I'm doing on my fic.

yeah, this thread cycles between a week or two of inactivity than a week or two of lots of activity.

I'm still working on my Zekrom article, though it's slow going at the moment given the upcoming holidays; it'll be at least a few more days before it's finished and ready to post, possibly more.

Maybe include an explanation for him [[Pokemon+Nobunagas Ambition somehow escaping sealing, felling to the east then going BACK to Unova and getting resealed?]]

We have no idea how that game fits into canon, if at all. I think it's best we ignore that until it actually comes out.
