I was wondering why I couldn't log in but then I went to a trope page and saw the little banner header thing saying they were making changes or upgrades to the site and I was like "...huh, so that's why."
In Smash 4 (don't know about Brawl), Yellow Pikmin are considered by far the least useful of the Pikmin that Olimar can pluck. Therefore chucking them off the stage ASAP to make room for more useful Pikmin is a common strategy among Olimar players. Ouch.

Given how unrepentant he was of his parenting of his children, it kind of makes me feel that he's more than earned his reputation. His family became successes but it feels it came at a great cost of having normal childhoods.

You know about Doki Doki Panic, the precursor of Super Mario Bros. 2, in which you could play as Imajin, his parents Papa and Mama, and his "sister" Lina? Yeah, Lina was actually his girlfriend. X_x

Also, something I just learned from Games Done Quick: Getting hit by the Blooper item in Mario Kart 8 actually makes you go a bit faster, in addition to covering your screen in ink.

All I'm seeing as far as backlash is from conservative media outlets and nonprofits like the "National Center on Sexual Exploitation" which is the renamed anti-sex media watchdog Morality in Media. But aside from the controversy Desire seems to not be a well-received film anyway, and from what I can parse from the summary on Rotten Tomatoes looks like some love triangle bullshit about two sisters in love with the same guy (and in fact the translation of the Spanish title is "You Will Want Your Sister's Man"

I saw the headline somewhere and briefly thought it was the guy who sang "Is She Really Going Out With Him" rather than the father and manager of the Jackson 5.
Some time in the 80s, my parents gave me a tape of a "personalized" birthday song that mentioned my first name repeatedly - you can still get one of those, sung by the same "Captain Zoom" character I remember, and they even have a wedding song in the same format. I ended up remembering this and looking it up because of sketch comedy show The Birthday Boys - they had a sketch parodying/deconstructing the concept of a guy who lives on the moon, presumably alone, and has nothing better to do with his time than to memorize strangers' names, then travel all the way to earth and back to sing them birthday songs.
