Uh a question ive always been wondering about. Whats the difference between Devil slayer magic & Dragon slayer magic?

Devil Slayers kill demons Dragon Slayers hurt dragons.

Besides the obvious like if there's any specific difference each magic has or unique traits only one possess.

So far every cat has been the same gender as their dragon slayer. I don't see why Frosch would be any different.

Demon slaying is super effective while Dragon Slayers have been weaksauce against dragons. That will likely change now.

Oh and both have the potential to turn you into a demon/dragon. (Gray demonifying his body, Acnologia).

I say this, but God-Slayers have been pretty weak sauce so far. Out of all of them, Chelia has probably looked the most impressive, and she only managed a draw.

And the only God we've seen is that jerkass Ansekeram(sp) who's only goal seems to be to make everyone suffer by not letting Zeref die long after he's likely learned his lesson.

Yeesh you just made me realize something horrible. Ank is the only confirmed God to exist in this series. As in a true omni-deity class being probably born since the beginning of time. Hes a major fucking dick with a abyss of sadism as deep as he is old & hes the God of Death. Seriously the only known God in this world is a Death God & is a complete monster. That's a very disturbing thought as its shown with Zeref he can directly interact & effect the physical world & enforce his twisted punishments by his own crazy standards. If this was taken more seriously imagine the chaos that could happen.

Well, I can understand why people made God Slaying Magic with him around.

The reason Ankhseram is the only deity around is because mankind killed the rest of them with God-slaying magic, and he was the only one left.

Hilariously, enough, he doesn't hate humanity for this, cause this made him the top dog, but he has no problem fucking us over either, as Zeref's curse shows.

Just a theory, but it'd be interesting.

Just guessing here:

God Slaying acts like an uber poison.Just contact to a god kills it.But the successful slayer replaces it,and goes to the god realm or wherever.Killing it like Natsu did probably isn't permanent.And the Yakuma tribe's gods are rather wonky anyway.Also probably all of them have those rippled eyes.

Demon Slaying is super effective on demons.Taking hits from them can demonize you?Also cool vision stuff.

Dragon Slaying vs Dragons just allows you to do damage.Gotta be OP as hell to actually take one down.

I theorize the main reason why God & Dragon magic are so weak cause it degraded over time & the fact that there wielders never hunted there true prey. The Demon magic works cause Gray got his from transferring with Silver right? Silver was a bonafide master who spent many years constantly hunting demons making his magic stronger so of course it work. I also believe the Zeref Demons are not true Demons like true Dragons or Gods due to being artificial creations so maybe it just works better on them. Hell maybe there are true Demons that are juggernauts like Dragons, heheh.

Well its just a theory & truth be told i'm kinda confused on the nature of demons. I mean there are those nice demons staying on that island but there are an artificial race conjured by a mad Mage. I am interested in how many demons Zeref created. Him creating a lot & then letting them run wild is kinda a weird thing to do.

Well, other demons exist besides them, but who knows if Zeref's artificial ones aren't abnormally powerful or something.

I imagine Devil Slaying magic was probably made by someone who knows Zeref and the nature of demons. Probably a demon as well.

Yeah Zeref's demon power varies in level.
