........... no. Wendy. That's who she fought.
I always found it odd how people ripped Laxus for quoting Natsu.
Yeah, "I'm fired up!" is really cheesy, and it was outta character for Laxus to channel Natsu, but I never understood why people felt it degraded Laxus.
And I'm like "What?" Granted, that wasn't the only major criticism people had of the end of the Grand Magic Games, but to see the vitriol directed at Laxus was overblown (compared to Sting).

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.Wendy and Carla's◊ FT Magazine◊ entry.◊
Secret SignatureNatsu is unpopular and Laxus is generally a favorite. Seeing him quote the former probably put a bad taste in their mouths.
There's nothing thematically wrong with it tho.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The line itself is just cheesy, because it's a bad pun on the part of Natsu. I get why people were disgusted with Laxus saying it, but to react in such a vitriolic manner is distasteful on the part of the fans.
Yeah, I said it. The fans are distasteful.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl. Most fans are distateful at least on the internet. That's why this is one of the few forums I visit. Most others drive me crazy with all the stupid theories and bitching about nothing.
Edit: It's also the reason I mostly stay out of the Naruto thread.

It's a bit hard to say you're a Fairy Tail fan, honestly, given how many people hated the Grand Magic Games and dropped the series after either Laxus said he's fired up or Sting surrendering just before Lestor showed up.
Imagine the looks on their faces if you said "Oh, Lector's dead now."

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.I don't remember Laxus saying that.
I hate Natsu too, but to be frank, if Laxus did say it, I really don't care.
One Strip! One Strip!Lector, and if you drop a series after something like that you probably weren't much of a fan to begin with.
I'm not that big on this series myself but I don't see any particular reason to drop it, it's just a series I read out of habit now.
It's my new Naruto in that regard.

Only reason I'd probably stop reading is because I'm bored to tears of it. Naruto was at least entertainingly bad and had the occasional good moment, Fairy Tail is consistently boring tho.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. The characters are why I stick around, despite their base breaking nature.
Also fanservice. It wasn't too long ago that Fairy Tail had a dedicated fanbase that laughed off the criticisms of the series. It was once unpopular to view Fairy Tail as bad, and many would even say it was better than Hitman Reborn of all things.
Since the timeskip, it hasn't exactly endeared itself to its former defenders. It's more of a guilty pleasure for its fans lately, if that.

In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.i like the pacing if anything.fast paced, yet not too rushed, most of the time.
Secret SignatureTo be honest I found Fairy Tail kinda boring up-till the Grimoire arc.
I stay for the character quirks and interactions. It's why I liked Bleach to begin with
The character quirks and their relationships are the best part, really.
And the fanservice.
In RWBY, every girl is Best Girl.....
.. THAT'S HIRO MASHIMA?!?!!?!? :O E Eeeehhh???
...I'm...I'm honestly shocked. I'm not sure if this is embellishment or not, but if this is even partly true, this is amazing.
This is seriously what I'd imagine a less dramatic Bakuman would be. This is can be a straight up manga story.
AND I THOUGHT HE WAS SUPER HARD WORKING? APPARENTLY HE DOES BOTH. WTF.
If this is true then Hiro Mashima must be adorkable as hell, his kids must love him.
It's probably being embellished a little- for starters I doubt Mashima actually looks like Natsu- and partially being shown in misleading positive light- they almost missed a deadline and had to pull an all-nighter because Mashima was playing video games all week- but I bet all of those anecdotes actually happened.
I always figured him to be the "Work first, Play later" type of guy. Quality of the manga aside, I've mostly read goods things about work ethics.
Kinana from the manga is based on Kina Kobayashi the person who appears to have made that.
Anyway Mashima seems to be really quick at his work.

You look happy, I can change that if you want...... he reminds me of NATSU!
... I oddly like his manga version of himself! :D Oh God look! He even has the hair!
