Like, Sora hearing Roxas means he's awake. Sora not hearing Roxas doesn't mean he isn't awake.

As happy as the ending was, I would have been unsatisfied had it ended there. That letter and those armored figures nagged at me every waking hour back in the day.

The letter can be written off as an And the Adventure Continues thing. The secret ending would probably have to be removed though.

I disagree, the ability to move forward with a story doesn't mean you have to keep retreading old ground. That's how we wind up with things like 3D.

I like the sense of poignancy of Roxas and Namine's ending and the irony of Axel's final words. Coming back kind of pisses all over those moments for me.

Like. Literally the only thing Young Xehanort did was give him some ambien then give his dream self some ambien and whisper in his ear all the while, and let Sora do the rest.

Which. Fits with all the other stuff with the plan. "Aren't hearts great? Steer us wrong every time."

The only thing the Organization did was talk at him. There's no special power or head fuckery there.

I'd be a lot happier about it if:

they brought back Roxas and Ventus back as one person.

Axel and Xion stayed dead.

I'm cool with the BBS trio coming back and in fact they're introduced for Sora to save.

But the Days trio should've stayed dead except for maybe Roxas who can be combined with Ventus. Basically make Roxas a continuation of Ventus.

Roxas and Ven can't (and shouldn't) come back as one person because they are totally different characters.

Ridas is a Heroic Neutral that only has some overlap with Sora's character. Ven is basically Diet Sora.

Also the Days Trio should come back together because they are the best written. And goddammit Xion deserves to be happy.

The Sora DLC in WoFF is coming 12/1 in Japan so we're probably getting it on our 2.8 release date.◊

I hated the word "unversed" by the middle of Terra's scenario. And I played as Terra first. However, even though there are some flaws, BBS is my favourite KH so far.

the command board system is dumb too. it seems like I'm about to get a fucktillion options that more or less end up doing the same thing in the end (outside of, like, magic)

of course i could be wrong- it could just be early game being early game, and by the end of each story I'll end up with a lot of moves that have their purpose.

but yeah everything in the plot seems so forced- but hopefully it'll improve by the end of the game.

Who the hell is that guy in the Organization clothes? Because he sure as hell sounded suspiciously like Axel.

There are two guys. One is the Foretellers' teacher, the Master of Masters. The other is Luxu, one of his apprentices.

Yes, but it's fun as hell.

Anyway, assorted thoughts:

• Trailer: HYYYYYYYPE. Nuff said.
• Roxas and co: Roxas, judging by 3D, seems to be content with just being subsumed into Sora (or convincing himself of it) despite very clearly still existing as his own self. Likely the same is the case for Namine, though who the fuck knows since I don't even think Nomura knows what exactly the deal with those two's creation was, cosmology-wise.
• Xion's existence, I think, can draw a parallel to Sora's memories of the events of Castle Oblivion. The pieces are still there, but putting them back together would imply breaking the thing from which they stole their original components, again. Like, picture a LEGO helicopter. You take it apart, and use some of the pieces to build a jetski. But then you decide that the helicopter was better, take apart the jetski, and build the helicopter again. The helicopter is whole, and the pieces for the jetski are still there, but they both can't coexist. Unless you get some more pieces, which I'm banking of being the method for Xion's revival (as well as Roxas and Namine and possibly Ventus and maybe Vanitas?), probably through Kingdom Hearts.
• Black Cloak (was he the master?) seems to be having a degree of fun unseen outside of Axel's best moments.

I wonder what Sora meant when he said he was doing something "secret". What on earth could he be doing that he wouldn't feel like sharing with Donald and Goofy?

I'm also confused about what .2 is going to be. From the stuff we see with Mickey and Aqua it looks like it takes place slightly before and concurrently with KH 1. So far that makes perfect sense and matches up fairly well with the speculation about what BBS Vol 2 was going to be. That doesn't explain the stuff with Sora, Riku, Kairi, etc though. Do they appear as some kind of framing device with Mickey narrating Aqua's portion of the game to them? If so then how do we know about the stuff Aqua does before Mickey appears?

It looks like Aqua's portion is using Mickey and Yen Sid explaining to Riku and Kairi as a Framing Device then the end will probably be Sora coming in after his Its a Secret thing and Riku and Mickey leaving leaving the setup for 3.
