Or maybe Noctis?
Life is more fun with infinite MP.ANYONE from IX besides Vivi would be nice. Even Quina.
This song needs more love.I honestly see a 0% chance of XV's characters appearing in KHIII. Not because he isn't directing XV anymore, he just doesn't seem like the kind of guy to do that.
As far as SE cameos, I just want Shibuya, the RG team with Rinoa, Zack & Auron back, Gilgamesh superboss, and a glorious Riku & Kain/Cecil/Golbez teamup. I know it will never happen, but I would kill for a Mitochondria Eve/The Ultimate Being superboss.

And yeah, more FFIX characters would be great. And even though I was pretty meh on FFVIII, I still think it'd be nice to have Rinoa around.

I'm not sure that going to happen at least for this saga as Noruma said he doesn't like to use Characters he didn't design (back when two release), but with Dissidia and the years that followed I guess that change.
The Reaper Games starts anew.W00t at recent Kingdom Hearts II manga chapters. Simply awesome.
"I don't give a rat's ass about going to hell. I guess it's because I feel like I'm already there." -MugenNever really understood all the Kain hype, myself.
He's basically the proto-Riku (I think).
Oh God! Natural light! He's pretty much the Trope Codifier of an Anti-Hero in Roleplaying Games pretty much.
As for which Square Characters will be making an appearance:
Lightning is pretty much a guarantee. She was apparently voted best Female Final Fantasy character in Famitsu or something so I see Square continuing to push her.
The Radiant Garden crew is a given. Maybe Rinoa will be joining since they hinted at her in the KH 2 credits.

Also, in regards to Kain, having one of Amano's most iconic designs can't hurt his popularity.
...In a huge poll in Japan on the best FF heroes(female and male) Claire Farron was 2nd after Yuna but before Tifa. There are good reasons SE are pushing Lightning as their big female heroine.
I still want a The Final Fantasy World.

Zidane was the third most popular male character, after Cloud and Zack. They should include him too.

Welcome to th:|Looking at the results now, and how the hell did Zack come out on top?
Crisis Core and/or nostalgia?
Because he is Zack.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!I guess my shock is Crisis Core was only like a modest hit so I'm surprised it translates into him being voted #1.
Well, I think it established him as a.) likeable, and b.) non-controversial. Also, he has what is probably the most memorable conclusion to his story of the FF characters, if only for it involving his honest-to-god death.

He sounds like a decent guy from what I've heard of him. I guess there are worse number 1 picks.
Oh God! Natural light!I've only played a bit of Crisis Core but he certainly is a pretty cool guy. I can understand him coming out on top.
And while I've only encountered Lightning in Dissidia Duodecim: Final Fantasy, I cannot understand her coming out on top.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!...Are the novels any good?
Welcome to th:|I honestly don't know. They have their fans, though.
Oh God! Natural light!Dissidia is a weird place to experience the characters since everyone is plucked from different stages of their games or before the games even start in some cases.
Edit: Now I want to play Duodecim again. Sigh.

Yeah, you've also got situations where characters from the same game come from/act like different periods.
Kefka acts like he comes from the world of ruin, but Terra appears to be pre-Zozo.
I have a message from another time...
Alternately, Nomura can not give a shit about Toriyama's waifu and instead show off his Kain fanboyism, as would be right and just.
