My thinking:
The Heartless were drawn to take the hearts of worlds, and End of the World was what remained of the worlds taken, so the corrupted hearts were probably deep within the heart of that place. By bringing so many world hearts together, they formed (a) Kingdom Hearts. But Ansem, who believed hearts to be destined for nothing but darkness, did not realize that there could still remain an inextinguishable light within them, which is what destroyed him.
The main difference between that and what the chi blade can do is that it can apparently connect the worlds' hearts without ripping them away from the worlds, allowing every living world to see and covet that light.
...huh. Reconnect Kingdom Hearts.

I have a message from another time...But that thing was actually the Door To Darkness. Even the glossary says that.
Hey guiz.
I wrote a little post on the fanfiction thread about some of my ideas for stories. Could you guys maybe look at it and give me feedback?
It was the door to darkness, but Ansem also claimed it to open to Kingdom Hearts. It could, I think, be both.
That, or Ansem's Kingdom Hearts was within the Realm of Darkness or between the sides of the Door.
I have a message from another time...That's my point. Andean was trying to create a new kingdom hearts created from darkness instead of light. An Anti-Kingdom Heart if you catch my drift.
Then why was there still light in there?!!!
Because even in the deepest darkness, there's always a bit of light, no matter how small it is, it's still there. Sora mentions that when speaking to Kairi in Traverse Town right before she gives him her Wayfinder.
Also, I'm in End of the World and using the Oathkeeper. I wish I had the Ultima Weapon, but it's so hard to get synthesis materials in the first game. White Mushrooms just don't seem to be dropping the gems for each magic spell. Just lots of Mystery Goo and shards. The former's nice though.
Stop also works on Chernabog too, though not for very long compared to Dragon Maleficent.

“I was thinking that work is like fertilizer in that I’m glad it exists; I just don’t ever want to get stuck in it."An ancient and epic war that lives on in fairy tales. It erupted over a sacred place known as "Kingdom Hearts"—the source of all light.
Keyblade wielders from the legions of light and darkness vied to control Kingdom Hearts, and wiped out all the World's light as a result.
Legend has it that the fragmented worlds we know today survived from the last glimmers of light within the hearts of children.
According to legend, the source of all true light is known as "Kingdom Hearts."
We know Xehanort has created two Kingdom Hearts now, both artificially, by amassing enough hearts. One was made from the hearts of worlds, and the other from the hearts of people.
The Kingdom Hearts made from the hearts of worlds had a door that led to the realm of darkness; its depths were never fully charted.
The Kingdom Hearts made from the hearts of people was believed to have the power to recomplete someone whose heart had been lost.
Riku and Mickey ended up on the other side of the Door To Darkness. Then they got to Castle Oblivion somehow.
In the ending of the first game, Kairi shows up, and the place where the Door To Darkness was is falling apart. One of the pieces separates from another piece, and that piece ends up becoming the Destiny Islands. Sora, Donald and Goofy were stuck on the other piece. And somehow got to Castle Oblivion.

Oh hey. I forgot about 3D's glossary.
I have a message from another time...Castle Oblivion is in the in-between realm, just overlooking the Realm of Darkness. I assume it can be reached from either.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I wonder if they'll use CO as an entry point to the Realm of Darkness in III.
I have a message from another time...All these years and I never noticed the heart shape.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Neither did I.
I noticed it right before NTom64 mentioned it during a stream 3 years ago.

"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!I don't know what the hell is happening in any of those videos.
I'm not saying that ansem succeeded. I'm saying that was his goal. It might very well have backfired.
I haven't seen those memes in a long time.
Life is more fun with infinite MP.
Like I said, they might have been trying to make a perverted version. A dark kingdom.
