Kingdom Hearts

I don't see why he'd need to? The journal world is real to him. Considering he is the memory recorded in the journal, isn't it where he belongs?

I'm sorta figuring there will be a full ensemble of the playable cast in KHIII, so I was mostly just idly speculating about that.

Data Sora seems pretty cool about the fact that he's just a data version of Sora. I don't think he needs a special body to become "real".

It would be nice if they gave him a send-off, though. Maybe let him hang out with Tron or something.

I'd just love it if Zero/One made it out of the datascape.

So I was just taking a stroll through the Trope Pantheons because-why-the-hell-not, and a question occured to me: Does anyone find the flanderization of Terra into being a pants-on-head moronic judge of character to be extremely annoying?

Consider that the only villains Terra ever actually helps are:

• Jumba, which is reasonable because 1) Terra himself was just arrested on the bullshit charge of existing and 2) Jumba took advantage of said bullshit and lied to Terra about why he was imprisoned.
• Captain Hook, who was just an ungrateful victim of an unversed attack who convinced Terra to keep Peter Pan from stealing the "light" that Hook gathered together (all of which is completely true, Terra simply doesn't have the context that Hook is a pirate and the "light" is stolen treasure until after his fight with Peter Pan, which at first only confirmed Hook's story in Terra's eyes).
• Xehanort, who nobody saw coming, primarily because Eraqus refused to accept that his best friend turned into Darth Sidious.

On the subject of... Well, I don't know how to do that... Are there any villains you folks are hoping for? I have a small list. Disney: Chernabog,(Ideally as the source of all Darkness or something like that, with his previous forms just being weak shadow clones he made.) Merlock, The Horned King, The Firebird, Shere Khan, (Not-So, Extra)Ordinary Guy, Syndrome. Final Fantasy: The Remnants, Earl Tyrant & Oscha, Django, Kefka, Dr.Lugae, Chaos,(Who'd be made up of different incarnations of himself that would also be present. and The Emperor. As for heroes, the only ones I'm hoping for are Kuroki Kaze, Vincent Valentine, Red XIII, and Oswald. Oh, but what if they bring in Marvel and Star Wars characters!? Well, I guess that's another list I'll have to think up.

Star Wars isn't going to happen. Most likely ditto for Marvel, because of licensing details regarding game rights.

I doubt Star Wars or Marvel would ever get a world, licensing rights being just one of multiple reasons, and if they did, III wouldn't be the time to start the stories they would involve (unless they just used A New Hope and left it there). But I am all for them being in as stuff like a Darth Vader superboss and Goofy getting Cap's shield.

I don't really understand why a lot of people insist that any presence from either of the two could only ever be a full-blown world and nothing less, and/or that any presence of the two would inherently suck and lead to Ruined Forever.

And we can't simply say that "it isn't going to happen." We don't know that. The only thing we do know is that Nomura is/was interested and is/was checking with Disney to see what he would be allowed to do. That is the only official public statement that has ever been issued regarding Star Wars, Marvel, and Kingdom Hearts; or at least it is the only one that can be verified.

If Cap's Shield does show up in KHIII I hope it's one of the higher tier shields.

(Actually, it would be nice if Donald and Goofy got world themed staffs and shields as well like how Sora has the Keychains.)

Cap's shield and a lightsaber, yes, those can be the highest-tier weapons.

Perhaps not Save the King level, but at least second or third.

would Vanitas count as the opposite of the Princesses of Hearts?if so,does this mean that hearts can be lost to light,ala Heartless?

Vanitas is kind of a special case. I don't think it's a good idea to use him to judge how the 'verse works.

Vanitas as I understand it is less    DARKNESS   , and more    NEGATIVITY   .

Vanitas is literally Ven's    darkness.    Like Sapphire said, he is an extremely special case, and he only exists because of Xehanort's actions; whereas the Po Hs were naturally born with hearts of pure light. We don't consider Ven to be a Prince of Heart, do we?

Now, if there were an instance of somebody naturally born with a heart of pure    darkness   , that person could be considered the opposite of the Po Hs. Of course, if there were such individuals, wouldn't Xehanort save himself the trouble of being a manipulative dickbag and simply hijack their hearts to get his 13 Seekers of    Darkness   ?
