Not human female, though. In something as subtle as romantic attachment, things can get complicated real fast. Or to put it another way, many people’s first reaction to Fay here, for better or for worse, wouldn’t be “You’re attracted to a woman?” but “You’re attracted to a robot?”

Is it the focus on yet another romance plot that is bothering you? Or something else?
Partly the start of yet another romance arc, but I can live with it. But now that it's been brought to the front, I think it's that yeah, Faye has been presented as unequivocally sydaight so far. I like Bubbles and so far if this does head into a relationship it won't be the worst written one in QC, but I dunno. I guess I think it could easily come across as... obligatory? Gratuitous? I'm not sure.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Only been in straight relationships, yes. Has she ever actually said she was straight? Or that she wasn't into girls at all?
I feel like it would have been mentioned if she weren't straight, assuming Jeph had been planning that at the time. Dora said she was bi well before it became a factor in anything, IIRC.
To paraphrase a similar Doctor Who reference used with regard to gender identity, sexuality isn't really a strict binary between "homo" and "hetero"... etc.

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableTHE RETURN OF SKULLMASTER, MASTER OF SKULLS!
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117Faye was refusing to partake in Dora's girl-ogling tendencies so yeah, she was portrayed as pretty straight.
Though of course there's a degree of difference between simple lusts and sweet affection.
Fair enough.
Personally, Faye's past characterization as exclusively straight doesn't bother me as much but that's probably because of personal experience.
The thing that kind of bothers me is how...dependent they seem of each other? It's not inherently bad to rely on someone, of course. It's just kind of uncomfortable how intertwined their lives are at the moment, even before considering any romantic feelings. They live together, sleep in the same room, work together and as far as I can tell, they never really leave each other's company. Have we ever seen Bubbles just hang out on her own with her friends? She always seems to shadow Faye wherever she goes. And considering Faye's past tendencies to be a bit controlling, I'm not sure if all of this is really healthy.
Maybe I'm just used to a certain amount of distance in the early days of a relationship. But if I ignore those specific things, I actually don't mind the writing of their actual romance plot. Much more subtle and interesting than past ones, in my opinion.

I'll admit to being somewhat shaky on the subtitles and gradations of the spectrum, especially since the goalposts have moved around a fair amount during my life but is it possible Faye is heterosexual but bi-romantic? Not sure I'm phrasing it properly.
Trump delenda estYeah, that's a thing.
That's a definitely possibility. Thinking about it, this scenario reminds me a bit of the latter half or so of Shortpacked! when Ultra Car gained a female body and later identified as asexual homoromantic before getting into a relationship of sorts with Malaya.

I don't know that I'm a fan of Sam's haircut, but hey, it's her hair.
Can someone please remind how old Sam should be now?
Thirteen-fourteen-ish, I think.

Just a person. He/him.Oh wow she looks like an acorn
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.She's very much a Tomboy so a boyish look fits.
Trump delenda estBoyish? The only boys I ever knew with that haircut got bullied relentlessly.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.Maybe she got into Mob Psycho 100.
Am I too pretentious if I thought “Oh, that’s a Norman knight hairdo?” I mean, she got it because swords.
= Spindriver =I mean, calling that an acorn is not unfair. Impolite perhaps, but not unfair.
She's 13/14 a bit oldish for babysitting, but it's not like she's the first kid that age to play with dangerous stuff and get in the way. I'm pretty sure a lot of kids did that in grade 8 metal work for example.
Can't be impolite towards a fictional character!

Bubbles identifies as female and presents as female. I don't see why it'd be an issue.
