"I hasten to interject that I have potentially time-sensitive data that merits immediate consideration." - VaarsuviusNow Faye gets to the part that sucks.
"I hasten to interject that I have potentially time-sensitive data that merits immediate consideration." - VaarsuviusHopefully no one will talk about Faye decking Marteen. As a reader I want to know the context, as an empathetic human being I never want her to find out that she did that.
I help out on some silly webcomic about mages called morphE.Art nitpick: someone forgot she had an IV stuck in that hand...
Eh. She'll probably herself suspect that she punched him in the process. Given that Marten isn't even seen with an icepack, it wasn't much of a punch either.
I don't think anybody going to give much weight to half-conscious flailing.
The first panel of this reminds me a bit of anime. Jeph's artstyle has been getting softer lately, and though it's not as out-there as his sudden dive into anime-inspired graphics, it's pretty noticeable.
Like the slightly cartoony proportions have been around since he made that leap, just more nuanced and not as instantaneously present as the first 3 or so strips, but it's pretty obvious here. Not a complaint at all - I actually think it's cute as hell.
Also, I get that Marten's been there all night, but his first panel looks like he's been doing meth.
Whenever we see Faye close up like that I'm always struck by how abnormally large her lower lip seems to be.
A bear is always appropriate, Hanners.
Unless you're visiting someone who was mauled by a bear. Then it might be inappropriate. Other than that, though, you can't go wrong with a bear.
X-Men X-Pert, my blog where I talk about X-Men comics.Idunno, maybe a cute plushie bear could alleviate the forming PTSD.
Fair enough, but it could also exerberate it. Like "Oh, look at the fuzzy ears... and the soft belly... and the cold, lifeless, glassy eyes, and the grin...! NO, GET IT AWAY!"
Even a caricature or a joke about a situation can be traumatic.
Character development for Faye? After what, ten years? Yes please. Also is she just permanently wearing lipstick or...?
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.And there's rock bottom. Now the tough part.
I'm Charlie Owens, good night and good luck. PSNID: CEOIII 1117The first step to solving a problem is admitting you have one.
This "faculty lot" you speak of sounds like a place of great power...This is a better start to the aftermath than I was expecting.

This whole social circle is getting disrupted, big time. Dora feels at least partially to blame, Hanners is all broken up right now, Faye is realizing how big a problem she has, people's lives are starting to go in new and different directions...
This has potential to be the QC version of The Breaking of the Fellowship, doesn't it?

"I hasten to interject that I have potentially time-sensitive data that merits immediate consideration." - VaarsuviusI continue to support Dora's professional decisions more or less, but personally she is really really not helping anything.
I mean damn, at least go in an see Faye. She counts as one of her closest friends. You and Marty are both needed to get back together.
"You are never taller then when standing up for yourself"While I still think firing Faye was a stupid-ass decision, I really do support that she's standing by it. I was worried this would make Dora rehire Faye, which would be just a cop-out (both in a meta sense and for Dora).
