Not certain how I felt about this episode. It had some cool parts, but the pacing was really weird, and the main fight was rather anticlimactic.
I want Pengin back. I wish we had a chance to see more of his whole Beware of the Nice Ones aspect.
Also, cliffhanger. >:C
Agreed that the pacing was weird though. The Pengin vs. Emonzaemon fight felt very short, same with Shichika vs. Houou.

Tumblr here.I also want Penguin back
Damn you, Emonzaemon. I hope you enjoy being cut in half by Shichika's ankle.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.That's... kind of a lame technique there Pengin. Immunity to projectile weapons? Only not? Doesn't deserve to be all hyped up like it was.
Stupid Emonzaemonnnnn. Togame was shot; Prepare for MAJOR shitstorm. >:U
Unbeknownst to most, the world is completely controlled by a single pipe smoking rabbit.^ Am I the only one who wasn't surprised by that or something? Apart from Hitei-hime's scene the relationship between Togame and Shichika was going far too well this episode.
By the way nobody check our page for this series.
I just got the ending spoiled...

If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.I think the point of penguin's power wasn't that it was necessarily awesome right now, but that it had the potential to be unstoppable. Considering the base ability is basically manipulation of luck, it eventually could become quite the gamebreaker.
Fear the Gothilolions! | Anime listNo need to keep spoilering stuff at this point.
Also, how was it supposed to be hard on his body? It's passive. And he was supposed to be feared? Not buying it.
Out of curiosity, has anyone figured out the pattern of when Togame's left eye turns purple?
Tumblr here.Yeah, the Pengin fight was a bit anticlimatic...
Does anyone think that Togame is really dead, or will a miracle let her survive somehow? She's a main character after all...

Pour y voir clair, il suffit souvent de changer la direction de son regard www.xkcd.com/386/I think she'll live. She'll be nursed back to health, taken care of... the whole romance thing. Hopefully. Whaa~
Unbeknownst to most, the world is completely controlled by a single pipe smoking rabbit. So, this question might seem kinda silly and all, but...
Should I watch this, and why?
Katanagatari is... an acquired taste i think. There's a LOT of talking, and lots of info, but past that * is a great love/action/adventure story. Especially later episodes. (The story is getting more twists and the animation seems improved.) I'd say really give it a try. If you end up enjoying it, you'll love it.
Unbeknownst to most, the world is completely controlled by a single pipe smoking rabbit.I've no idea what your tastes are. It's a very talky work, the art style is weird and the plot is a little lacking. The first two things aren't really strikes against it so much as personal preference.
You've been watching Bakemonogatari, right? The original novels were written by the same guy. Katanagatari is way less dense all around, but it's still very talky and idiosyncratic.
Hah, well that would explain it. The art style reminded me of the other -gatari, too... Hmmm, I would've expected a more enthusiastic reaction, but I guess I'll give it a try.
Do ti Fawriel.
The series needs more love and if you don't mind all the talking it's a really good one.
If I'm sure of something it's that I'm not sure of anything.Who needs talking im only in it for the hot chicks
...
I'll watch it!
Somebody lie to me that there is more to Emonzaemon hitting Pengin than "I ricocheted bullets off other bullets".
P.S.: I'm willing to buy Entō Jyu shooting through time or whatever.
Machinima in my color model?!^ That's basically it. Pretty weak scene.
So hey, episode 12 just came up.
So I'm kind of confused now — episode 11 led me to believe that the series takes place in an Alternate History version of Japan where the Owari Shogunate came into power instead of the Tokugawas thanks to Shikizaki Kiki's machinations to "falsify history", but apparently his plan also included assassinating the Owari Shogun in order to... return the Tokugawas to power? What?
Please be gentle with me.Good god her dying speech lasted too long. And while I don't exactly hate Hitei-hime or anything, what was the point of the last scene? She does a personality flip and they go traveling together? What? Why?
;___;
I also did not get the ending scene. I sort of got the gist of Shikizaki Kiki's plan, but not entirely.

Emonzaemon, you bastard.
