Don't research too much, this really is the sort of game that's best played with as little outside help as possible.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadHeh, I played it with Deceased Crab's Let's Play.
I still enjoyed the atmospherics though. If anything, it took my attention away from the platforming challenges and puzzle difficulty and left it easier to enjoy.
That said, I still don't like the original story because you have to kill the Mother. If only there were a secret special ending where you actually get to send her back to space, fulfilling the wish of the giants and a bunch of other people.
What puzzle difficuly? You played it with Deceased Crab!
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadWelcome to La Mulana!
Geh...I....I...I LOOKED IN THE WIKI FOR HELP!!! I feel so dirty...(and it wasn't even that helpful)
I just wanted to know what the Plane Model did, and then I decided to look up the Dance of Life, and then...and then...
...Tvtropes really needs more emotes, none of them really show how I feel
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft instead@GMH. It's one thing I always thought about with the story. "You know, she's been waiting for how many thousands of years? In the last hundred we've made incredible leaps in technology. I'm sure if we wait just a little more we'll eventually have space travel so efficient that we can afford to rip out an entire underground structure and send it into space."
Though I suspect the futuristic look of the Tower of the Goddess and Tower of Ruin were supposed to hint that they tried this already.
Don't take life too seriously. It's only a temporary situation.Hell Temple's nearly done and released.
... Okay, that looks brutal.

You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!I want hell temple to be a surprise, so I'm not looking. Haven't seen footage of it in either version, I just know about the "special prize"
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadI don't think that's hell temple, it looks like stuff from the whole game (though I think the slime enemies+boss were hell temple exclusives). But it does look brutal. My favorite is that trap in the Tower of the Goddess, which just looks freaking badass.
Some of those backgrounds are pretty darn cool.
The animation of some monsters is still not very smooth, but whatever.
Apparently the DLC for Hell Temple, the Boss Rush, and the Time Trial modes will be sold all at once for only 300 Wii points, as opposed to having multiple different DLC options for 500 points each.
(Space Invaders Get Even, I'm looking at you.)

that sounds fair.
I may have said this before, but I think LA Mulana would do much better in american markets if it was on xbox live and/or the ps marketplace. But again, I wont complain because the only nonhandheld I own this time is a Wii
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadWhy would it?
The Wii is the most commercially-successful of all three current-gen consoles.
An explanation for why LaMulana is taking so long to get to the english crowd.
To be seen, stand up To be heard, speak up To be appreciated, shut upLooks like someone finally made a decent remix of this game's music.
It's also a remix of a track from Ys II.

Apparently the game is in lotcheck in North America and Europe, and we just need to wait a little bit for the official release date.
Also, according to the blog "[NIGORO] may have some bonus content for those of you who have waited so patiently for the game’s release."
I was starting to get worried, but now apparently the only step left in the process is the final release date. As Deceased Crab would say, Huzzah!
Finally. Been waiting so long. Guess it's a good thing that I finally replaced my broken Wiimote.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadHoly crap, an actual blog post! Granted, all it did was tell us that the graphics were made in high resolution and then reduced to fit the Wiiware limitations, but its still nice to see news!
I truely think that La Mulana would do better on Steam or Xbox Live instead of Wiiware. I'm getting it, but I'd hate for this game to not do well after all the love it's had put into it.
Taking a break from FE1, for the FE8 draft insteadIt quickly became the #1 Wiiware game in Japan, so it would probably do well. We'll probably get another version on Steam, too, I believe.
I'm starting to get a sense of Déjà Vu. The Wiiware version of Cave Story was announced to be in the final lotcheck in December 2009, but it wasn't released until March of 2010.
So the game is almost guaranteed to be released in 2012. That means the game's been in development for three years, and it's a 40MB downloadable game. That is insane.
Yep You know how bored that makes me since I'm not buying ANY wiiware or bc games before its release?
And i like vc games even though they are released more rarely these days.
Well I did some research on this game, and boy was I right about this game being hard!
It looks like it has a lot of Guide Damn It! moments, but I really do think it looks like a fantastic game.
