It seems that Capcom's in a bit of a social-game kick lately. Between that and this, they really seem to want to push Android and iOS as legitimate platforms for the industry.
Long live Cinematech. FC:0259-0435-4987That would be cool.
edit: Personally I just want them to make a freaking 11 already. Preferably not an 8 bit game mind you. I wouldn't mind a 3D sidescroller.

Good luck with that.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.X Over is just the latest in a string of Mega Man mobile games. It's nothing new.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.x5 I'd... Probably rather they made no game than a bad game. Keep in mind this is what they're trying to do to celebrate Mega's 25th anniversary. Mega Man is absolutely one of the most influential game series of all time and the most prolific multiplatform series of all time. I think it deserves the same honors Final Fantasy is getting.
Please, in Capcom's mind, Resident Evil is their most influential franchise. Why else do you think they are spending all of their marketing on RE 6?
It's a shame since other than Monster Hunter I don't really care about any other games they make. Do we know for sure whether or not they're doing this to spite Keiji or if it's just because they don't see Mega Man as profitable anymore?
The Mega Man series has been in decline for a while.
Helpful Scripts and Stylesheets here.I agree but that's why I want them to continue the classic series. Those were the best Mega Man games since Zero ended and they seemed to be a nice return to form.
Ten wasn't bad though and nine is one of the best for me so that's not saying much. It's at least better than a good portion of the other classic series games in my opinion.

@ Meophist: Regardless, everything that's been going on these past few years are still a bit baffling considering that Mega Man 2 was what really put Capcom on the map. If I'm not mistaken, that was the company's first real hit.
I'm none to thrilled by Rockman Xover myself, but I'll reserve my judgment until we know the full scope of what Capcom has planned for the 25th anniversary.

"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The Mad(S)He has a point there.
Beware of occasional bad attitude. I do Fanfics on deviantART. Witness me make a mockery out of myself there, too. They eliminated the slide in 9 and 10, right?
I seriously can't be the only one who sees a correlation with the lack of Mega Man content for the 25th anniversary and the massive push that Capcom is doing for RE 6 right?
Also, I am a guy.
Yeah, and the Charge Shot. Proto Man had access to both, but I think it was a stupid idea (nostalgia-pandering or not), especially when Bass can go around using all of his tricks from MM&B (i.e. dashing and aim-able, rapid-fire Buster) just fine. He's had those abilities since 3 and 4; why take them out now?
I wouldn't go jumping to conclusions on that front, but Capcom most definitely is trying to push RE6 like crazy, especially since they're targeting the CoD demographic.

"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadHeh, imagine what Capcom would be like should RE 6 fail to meet their expectations.
Hey people, what does Capcom have to do with Nintendo letting Solid Snake on board Smash Brawl?
Um... nothing in the slightest?
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadNah, it's because it's Snake, man!
I can't believe I didn't see that's where that one was headed.
"Oh no, Sanji's Chronic Simprosis!" - Kou The MadI'm actually probably going to buy this by the week's end.
She said she had "contacts" or something and if the tracks sold well enough they'd release the Legends 3 demo in Japan.
As you probably know by now, I'm not terribly optimistic, but I think buying these are the least I can do and it's the best bet we have for Legends 3's revival, which was deemed impossible.

@GMH:
Well played. Have this MEGALOMANIA remix of Snake Man's theme as a reward:
If nothing else, the Megaman franchise has always had superb music (and some of the remixes people come up with are simply divine - BLANKFIELD/warinside!Bubble Crab stage theme, anyone?).

Locking you up on radar since '09Yikes. Just tried to beat Serpent on Hard mode. Not my best idea. Ripped through ten lives like they were nothing.
See? Just like that. You've forgotten that you're getting a game PERIOD, and instead focusing on that you're getting what you perceive as the wrong kind of game.
