@Dante's Inferno: You mean that game where Dante takes part in the crusades and kills his way to the final circle of hell?
(That game was such a rip-off of Go W. Pretty much the only good part was Lucifer)

Yyyeah, not a fan of the whole "all non-DMC hack and slash are GOW ripoffs".

Most games aren't but that game was.
I know. I was joking about the game based on the poem by the guys who did Dead Space.

Fair enough. I've just heard it about enough games that it's become grating.
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.I like dthe Dantes inferno game, really. Sure, it may be a god of war ripoff (Which itself took elements from DMC and perfected them to the point even Devil may cry 3 and 4, as did Bayonetta, took elements back fro mit), but its a fun Go W ripoff, especially the part where you RIDE ON A KAIJU SIZED DEMON AND BLOW UP A CITY!
Watch SymphogearWhat DMC elements did GOW perfect?
Also, last I checked the only things Bayonetta got inspired to do from the God of War series were the giant bosses and QT Es.

Umbran Climax◊Just cleared Mission 11.
Dante kicked my ass. I didn't die to him but I came damn close. It was both glorious and painful to see him use all of those moves that I've grown accustomed to using in DMC3 used against me. I almost broke down when he started back flipping to avoid Streak and countered with Helm Breaker. And then he broke out Royal Guard. This is what I love about DMC: It can make you feel completely outclassed without coming off as unfair.
Sanctus was a little shit, though. He was "harder" than he had any right to be ("THE SAVIOR WILL COME!").
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!It smoothed out the clunkiness of the first game for me. Also, Bayonetta also took artitistic influence from God Of War as well, and Kamiya is a God of War fanboy.
Watch SymphogearLink plz.
Also, it's worth noting that the US DMC 3 release was a bit less than a month before the very first GOW(over a full month if we count DMC 3's Japanese release).
Umbran Climax◊Perfected? I think God Of War is rather clunky on its own. That, and you have no reason to switch tactics, thanks to the area of effect whipping. Find a favorite combo and mash it through to the end. Never liked that God Of War was seen as the definitive beat em up when none of it felt satisfying or challenging to begin with..
You don't see that in DMC, God Hand or any Stylish Action brawler.

ALL CREATURE WILL DIE AND ALL THE THINGS WILL BE BROKEN. THAT'S THE LAW OF SAMURAI.yeah i've never really cared too much for gow, i always preferred the japanese dmc style of action game.
I also hate how magic was given out in such limited quantities. In DMC, "magic" is a reward for playing well, letting you use it almost constantly if you're really good at comboing or taunting, or just enough to potentially turn the tide of the fight if you're not as experienced. In Go W, though, it felt purely Too Awesome to Use given the relative difficulty in acquiring it.
"If you're out here why do I miss you so much?"The main reason that I like Go W is the Catharsis Factor mowing down all the enemies of the game is a great way to relieve stress.
"Please crush me with your heels Esdeath-sama!Okay, I loved playing as Nero and all but Dante is just so much more fun to play as. My combo options have increased exponentially and I love how Dante just refuses to give a single fuck in the cutscenes. Also, playing on the keyboard may give me an advantage here as I think I can hit the number keys faster that I would the d-pad. It also helps that, since I use my middle finger to hit those, I can still dodge if need be.
Also, how do I get the taunt to work? Whenever I hit the taunt button around enemies, Dante/Nero does a taunt but nothing happens.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! Both are on sale for Steam but I don't have the money 'cause I'm a worthless cheapskate...
I did play Devil May Cry 4 years ago when it came out, though the plot confused me a bit at the time. I only played a little of the first game (It was awesome though) and I didn't play any of the others.
Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied.Yeah, that's how I got DMC4.
Don't get the PC version of DMC3. It's a waste of five perfectly good dollars.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! It's that bad? Anyway, I'm about a dollar short on DMC4, otherwise I would've snapped it up in a heartbeat.

Don't Press Your Luck too many times in life. You'll just get whammied. For DMC 3 on PC, emulation is the best option. Especially now that the style-switching codes were released.
...Style switching codes?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!A mod was released in May which allows for the various styles to be switched during gameplay as in DMC 4. There's also something similar being worked on for weapons.
There are versions available for both the PS 2 version emulated via PCSX 2 and the PC version; but the former is a lot easier to set up.
...Oh, man. If Capcom released a version of DMC3 with true on-the-fly weapon and style switching like in DMC4, I would be all over that in a heartbeat.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.I only ever played GOW 3 and was thoroughly turned off the franchise. It was all style, no substance, with awesome visuals, music and scale offset by repetitive combat, a horrible plot and one of the most unlikeable protagonists I've ever seen. (Mind you, this was before Donte.)
Dopants: He meant what he said and he said what he meant, a Ninety is faithful 100%.DMC 3 on PC is workable with the use of 3rd-party programs to make the controller work better and a replacement exe to provide widescreen resolutions.
No, you see, the real Dante's Inferno is post DMC2. Sadly, we haven't seen it yet but it's no doubt amazing.
