@ lu: Isn't your avatar that vocaloid girl?
Lu probably meant in terms of preferences. And personally, I like all of the FSN love interests... and most if not all of the fan pairings.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus. It's Miku, yes. But I do have a Rin avatar I use a lot.

Not true No Limit. He doesn't like ugly ones.
You've got a point there...
Geez, this thread's certainly getting back to 50% speed.
I guess there's no harm in linking this and pointing out that I immediately pictured a Negima mod in my head when I read the game's premise (just the first sentence of the description will do).

Yeah, that game will be hard to sell anywhere outside of US.
It'll have to become part dating sim in order to increase your power...kind of like Persona, really.
Why do you say that?
I think it'll probably be a hard sell in the US unless it's absolutely amazing.
It's an indie title. It wasn't going to sell many copies to begin with.
Difference in accent and pronunciation could really screw with the player.

They aren't even going to be English spells when it's done, and I assume that you haven't used voice recognition software before? Step 1 to using any is to train it to your voice.

Can I use Ye Olde Butcherede Englishe? Can I?

Hata on Akamatsu's reunion with The Man.

2. out before "Spring" (next year) ?
3. a non denial denial of moving to Betsu Shonen Magazine, a monthly. apparently, everything is still possible. (including back to the weekly.)
Interesting. If it comes before Spring, it might mean it'll be out around late March-early April at most. I wonder if Kodansha USA knew something or suspected in advance, timing USA Volume 39 and Negiho for April. Since Negiho would be a disaster no-sell without some related hype helping it, I think the next Akamatsu international news should hit by then.
So, whatever it is, it comes one year after that end? IIRC, most Akamatsu major works come with one year and a half between them. A shorter pause might mean this time it was something that took less pre-planning time and effort. Unless it was in pre production stages while Negima ended, but considering how busy Akamatsu's agenda was then with the finale, J Comi and his legal issues, it's doubtful he could squeeze that in then.
Even now, busy as he is with the Kumeta cooperation and Love Hina 40, he shouldn't have that much time to create a new franchise, set the characters after his usual string of preliminary drafts, plot the thing out, do his research (assuming it's something that requires anywhere as much as Negima), and begin writing and drawing in advance. So, does that mean it's something simpler and quicker to set, or something based on an already existing property?
Hrrrrnnnn...
Testing, testing. I am typing this entire post using my operating systems built in speech recognition software. Speech recognition software is cool. That said speech recognition software is not perfect. I wish he can't be perfect, but we would be to make many advances in technology before it's absolutely flawless. However it is not impossible for the developer to make packing peace enough for people outside of America to use it properly.
I left that error in there on purpose. I dollars a speech recognition software is not perfect.
I don't quite get what he's responding to.
Fiat iustitia, et pereat mundus.Good point, NDC. Such a quick turnaround means that it could easily be a Negima sequel or a manga adaptation of something.
Also, Negima was 38 volumes long, not 39. And, if Kodansha knew this, then that means that they could be planning a simultaneous English release, given Akamatsu's previous successes overseas.
Sorry, that was a typo. I meant Volume 38. Although technically there are 39 of them if you want to count Volume 0 (which does have some original manga material, after all).
I'm hoping we get the part of volume 0 that talks about what Haruna was doing in one of the omnibuses or something, but I'm not holding my breath.
A simultaneous release would be amazing. I hope my guess is right on that (it wouldn't be the first manga to get one, at least for the first volume).

I would be the happiest panda ever.
Though it's up to discussion if that's a good thing or not.
