Konoka pissed off ... wouldn't she just bop the offending party on the head with a tiny hammer?
"It takes an idiot to do cool things, that's why it's cool" - Haruhara HarukoYep, and then it would burst like a tomato.
Spoiler pics are out. And might I add, SHORYUKEN!◊
That uppercut looks familiar.
If, as it appears to be, that Godel had some part in petrifying Negi's village and actually told him that, then that was a huge mistake on his part. Remember this? And that was before he got his Black Magic upgrade and six or seven more pactio partners.
You wouldn't care what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.Unless it's some sort of plan that hinges on Negi doing something like that. The obvious guess would be that Negi's essentially punching out a prominent world leader at an event said world leader is hosting, and all this is possibly being recorded (while the original provocation was conveniently left out).
Or it could be something else related to some odd magical theory or other that requires Negi to be really angry for some reason. Temptation of the Dark Side, maybe.
If that's the case, then Godel may have just bitten off more than he can chew. He'll be lucky to have a head when Negi's finished with him.
I'm not sure Godel told him he was involved. He may have just done something worse, like insinuating his mother was...
Edit: Also, this guy has got a serious case of Twitchy Eye...

"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."If that is the case, then he's a far braver man than I. He had to know that Negi would not react well to that sort of thing and that he would be in for a major beating.
Unless, of course, he either didn't know that, (in which case, more fool him) or he believed that he would be able to fight Negi on equal or greater footing until sufficient help arrived. Judging from the spoiler pics, he may have misjudged.
Again, brave man. But you're right; it's too early to tell for sure. Godel hasn't been consistent enough with his word and actions to be able to predict anything for sure.
You wouldn't care what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.My guess was actually that Godel didn't care if he was stronger than Negi; he just wanted to elicit that reaction for some reason, even if it meant his death.
In fact, if Negi did kill or seriously injure Godel, that would probably be even more useful.
I think we have a trope for this. "My death is only the beginning" or something.

Right you are: My Death Is Just the Beginning
I hadn't considered the possibility that Godel might not care if he lives or dies. If that's true, then things just got much more complicated for Negi and Co. Someone like that is capable of pretty much anything, as they don't give a damn about the consequences for themselves.
Looks like the next chapter will be very interesting. Possibly in the Chinese sense.
You wouldn't care what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.Unlike the first set of spoiler pics, these don't depict anything as dramatic as Negi performing a SHORYUKEN on Godel. It does look like we'll be getting a look into what Real!Evangeline and Albireo are up to.◊ It also seems that the confrontation between Negi and Godel is taking place behind closed doors.◊ That could be bad or good for Negi.
It could be bad because there won't be any third party witnesses to what goes on, so Godel can make up any story he wants and Negi won't be able to refute it. Unless Asakura's artifact can record what goes down.
However, if Godel is in fact trying to help Negi in his own inscrutable fashion, he may have chosen the private location because he knew that Negi would freak out about whatever it is that Godel tells him and didn't want him to snap in front of all the guests.
There is also relationship chart, with all roads leading to Negi (of course).◊ It's in Japanese though; anyone want to take a shot at translating it?

You wouldn't care what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.Get a bigger version and I can take a crack at it.
... or not, since I can translate, but the imagework needed is beyond me. But I can try to translate anything pointed out to me.
The key to what all the different coloured arrows mean would definitely be useful, if there is one that is.
I think that box in the bottom left-hand corner is the legend.
You wouldn't care what people thought about you if you knew how seldom they did.I thought so too. I just wasn't sure because I don't speak Japanese.
It looks like the legend, yes. I'm not going to translate it because I don't want to strain my eyes that badly.
What I can see:
- Yellow background — People to do with magic or the Magical World.
- Beige background — Not sure, but something like "people who may have something to do with magic".
- Grey background — "Old" (as in historical/backstory) people and those who "may be dead". Really, the phrase translates as "living or dead unclear".
- Blue border — 3-A.
- Red border — 3-A Baka Rangers.
- Red lines — Magister/Partner or Pactio relationship.
- Dotted red lines — I think it means "people who may have something like a Magister/Partner or Pactio relationship".
- Dotted grey lines — Master/servant relationship.
- Blue lines — Blood related or otherwise familial.
- Dotted blue lines — May or may not be blood/family related.
- Green lines — Teacher/student, or stuff along those lines.
- Dotted green lines — Not sure. Confidants and advice-givers, I think. Also includes "fan".
- Orange lines — Rivals, both friendly and romantic.
- Purple lines — Close friends, cliques. I think there's others, but I can't make it out.
- Brown lines — Enemies, of the non-friendly sort.
- Dotted brown lines — Possible enemies.
- Dotted pink lines — Crushes and romantic interests, usually one-sided.
- Black lines — Miscellaneous. Mostly relationships of no significance.

Seems whoever drew this isn't a KonoSetsu shipper.
I find the "family relationship" lines around Chachamaru an interesting interpretation of "family". In the "Eva's House" box there's Chacha Zero and Chachamaru's Little Sisters, and there's a line to the Tanaka robot(s), and one to Hakase. Oddly, there's another one to Chao Lingshen.
Random epileptic tree: the two "family relationship" lines Chao has are with Chachamaru and Negi. Anyone remember the family tree album?
(Yes, I know the blue line could also be for "creator/created".)
EDIT: I do understand that this doesn't take into account the more recent chapters (there's no Pactio lines from Negi to Ku Fei or Chachamaru, or from Natsumi to Koutarou).
Still, I think I missed the bit about Jack Rakan having a Pactio with Nagi. Ho Yay indeed.

That's been established for a while. It's where his "shittons of swords" comes from.
My Blog thingSeriously, that is one hell of a diagram. I've seen illustrations of global climate phenomena that were easier to parse.

Share it so that people can get into this conversation, 'cause we're not the only ones who think like this. The dotted rectangles are interesting too: Ala Alba, Room 643, Library Expedition Club, Room 665 (Kotaro's)...
"And as long as a sack of shit is not a good thing to be, chivalry will never die."Yep, Godel just owned up. We didn't get to hear the extent to which he is personally responsible before Negi shoryuken'd him, of course, but his organization was behind it.
If this is true, then one of the bigger mysteries of the series has just been resolved... but replaced with more questions. Questions that we'll hopefully see answered next chapter rather than a dozen volumes down the road.
