I never give my companions shit. Their normal stuff works just fine.

I never really have companions with me anyway. I just collect them and leave them at the Lucky 38.

I do their quests as soon as humanly possible and then ditch them. They get on my nerves with how dumb they can be.

Yes, even ED-E. He sits there tanking stuff fer pity's sake. The one I dislike more is Raul Tejada, because his quest is hard to do if you miss some queues. Like, you can't do the boomers, or the ranger, blah blah blah before him otherwise it's uncompletable

I dunno, I like the game more just sneaking around and shooting stuff rather than blowing the mans up in a long drawn out fight. Companions don't help in that aspect. Save boone's perk, which is arguably the only companion I tolerate, and veronica being the worst. If they fight they keep fighting and pull more enemies, even if I tell them not to and to stick close.

Veronica is actually pretty boss if you're going long/mid-range glass cannon build. Snipe a few legionnaires in the face and by the time they get into range with their POS guns and sticks you can hide behind a rock while she punches everything to death.

Well I finished Honest Hearts today, also decided to do my first finishing Mr. House's ending where it turns out I forgot to kill off the Powder Gangers. So I need to do that and then do Old World Blues and I guess Lonesome Road too and then I'm done with my Mr. House playthrough and will eventually start an Independant playthrough. Fun times.

Alo, I failed to install mods. I WAS going to download the porny ones but then there are these great mod updates baout the sky and making some cool places prettier but they just do not work. Like. The character faces just droop to the floor, turning into Nightmare Fuel material and I cannot even use the pip boy for it is blocked by flesh and armor.

Pipboy readius should be viewable even if the arm is blocked. Sounds like a conflict of some sort. Troubleshooting, ho!

I tried to download a makeup one, the sky one and another one whose name I do not remember right now but it was basically more character customization crap.

But again it failed :(

I tried reinstalling and redownloading the mods but it seems complicated, and got the script issue.

Are you doing manual installs or using NMM/FOMOD? I tend not to touch graphics mods but it should be possible to just uncheck them either in the plugins section of NMM or the data section of the FNV starter. Drop one, see if the issue is resolved, drop two, etc.

If you've got links to the mods I could take a look and see if I can replicate the error.

Well I tried to download them automatically, I assumed it would give me less of a fuzz. however, clicking the "install automatically with FOMMOD" popped absolutely nothing to happen.

First thing I did, was download the fallout manager thing for New Vegas. The GMMOD thing was downloaded somewhere in like, x64 Programs, something normal.

The addons I downloaded to a folder in C>GAMES>FALLOUT NEW VEGAS>MODS (which was created by the program)

First I tried running the thing and using the .zip (or .7z) files to directly export the addons. It did not work. I tried to compress them so i compressed them all on a folder in my desktop (to experiment) and it did not let me export that for it was not even recognized after compressing them (The compression was done with the same GMMOD tool)

There was also the matter that one file told me "This file has not a correct script. wanna run it anyways?". Furthermore, some of the addons had multiple versions, so I do not know which one to download (there were the top ones, of course, but also some updates which were not marked as "the latest ones" so I did nto know which ones were relevant)

I kind of forgot how unintuitive the nexus was. So first thing I'll need to know is which program you're using. Nexus mod manager has a different interface from fallout mod manager. Both are pretty easy to use once you've got the hang of 'em but they're not very good at explaining things.

I am pretty sure that the one hting I downloaded was simply called "Fallout Mod Manager". I am now, however, seeing the rror of what I did.

It's no biggie, nexus really should have a quick vid just walking through how modding works. That is the right link for the nexus manager so it should work.

pic 1: if you successfully downloaded the nexus mod manager the .exe should open up something like this. Note at the topish left there's two tabs: plugins and mods. The plugins tab is basically just used to move things around on the load order. The mods tab is where you can install/uninstall mods.

Pic 2: I didn't realize the cursor doesn't show up on print screens. If you hit the download with manager button it should initialize NMM and download it into the right folders. Assuming the mod doesn't require any special download it instructions you should be be able to just double click it when it shows up in the manager.

pic 3: If you've manually downloaded the mods already you jigsaw puzzle button which says add mod from folder which I just now realized is covered up by the other thing. Fuck it. navigate to the mod and just double click it; should then show up in your manager. double click it and ...

I got a real good Boone reskin that I can't recall the name too. Gives Boone more hair and a bushy depressed beard.

I just got fucked up by the legion. I dropped off basically all my gear as I was going to start honest hearts and I basically just go in with a shit pistol and shit armor. I fast travel to the nearest point, go to reach for my beer before beginning my hike and all of a sudden half my health is gone. I whip around and a supersledge snaps my spine in two.
