I really wish Atlus would port Persona 4 golden to 3ds.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Last time they down-ported a Persona game, we got P3P, which simplified all but the dungeon and combat visuals to a top-down visual novel style. Is that what you want? Because that's probably what you'd get.

Taking a (admittedly, upgraded) PS 2 game and porting it to 3DS is not "down-porting". The 3DS is the more powerful system.
My mistake.
Though Vita > 3DS so I heavily doubt that Golden will ever pop up on the 3DS.
Yeah, the regular 3DS is about as powerful as the GameCube which I believe was actually the most powerful console of that generation. At the very least, I'm certain that the PS 2 was the weakest. Also, from what I've seen of The Golden (which I REALLY want to play), the N3DS should be able to handle it.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! And shot itself in the foot, like the PSP, because it was too powerful.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Too powerful as in making it harder/more expensive to develop for?
Unfortunately, yes. The Vita had a lot of potential, but it's pretty much a ghost town now. Nowadays most titles developed on there tend to be otaku related bullshit. A shame, it was a good system too.
You got some dirt on you. Here's some more!Forget Persona, I want a new Devil Survivor. Not the DeSu 2 updated rerelease, but a brand new one.
(Curse that bonus story arc though. Very tempting)
I'd rather they ported vanilla P4 if I'm being completely honest. That or make a portable version of P5 and port that.
I'd elaborate, but put it better than I ever could.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!I wish that P4 Golden would get ported to a system that I actually own.
I liked it better when Questionable Casting was called WTH Casting AgencyEh, primarily Japanese games does not equal primarily otaku-aimed titles. There are a lot of those, yes, but there wouldn't be any more or less of them on the system if the Vita was a success. There are also a lot of other games. I don't know about you, but I see a rather varied library◊, and there are more Vita games released than 3DS games by just numbers at any given time... it's just that most of them are digital-only. Having a lot of power doesn't mean the games have to use it.
I'd say the Vita failed because the AAA had no reason to bother too hard with it, resulting in no reason for the majority to even buy the damn thing. Most of the library is stuff that's nice to have it you already have the system, but not something that moves the system on its own. In addition, the extortion-level memory card prices.

FREAKING MEMORY CARDS. Lost my Vita which had a 32 GB and rebought one with a 16 GB. And I probably still won't bother that much.
But yeah, uh...we do have a Vita thread to talk about this.
So how about those Feb releases huh?
Vita has a lot of titles, but most of them are indies, ports, or otaku bait. Not that those games are bad in anyway, but it's hard to justify buying a $250 machine + an expensive memory card to play specific niche games and games you can get anywhere else, albeit on the go. Nintendo treats its handhelds with just as much respect as its console, providing it with a flurry of original content you can't get anywhere else (plus a bunch of console ports). They know how to make handheld games. It's why they've dominated the field ever since the Gameboy, even though they're always weaker than the competition.
It's actually having a weaker machine that made them so successful in the market in the first place. The reason the Game Boy was so underpowered compared to its contemporaries is so the batteries last long enough that playing on the go is actually a worthwhile endeavour.
That certainly helps. More importantly I feel is the fact that it keeps production costs down, and I personally think rising production values are the number one threat to the console industry. So devs, at least in Japan, will take any excuse to make things as cheap as possible. So even if the Vita was a success, Capcom may still want to keep Monster Hunter on the 3DS since they can get away with reusing PS2 assets again easier. It's why I'm sure Nintendo will cheap out on the 4DS hardware, to keep the cost of making their games low.
Yeah it's really a shame.
I bet PS Vita would sell much better if it had some of the more amazing original games from PSP
Like Lumines, Patapon, Every Extend Extra.
Apocalypse: Dirge Of Swans.Malaysia is a terrible place for gaming. I want to move for this dumb reason alone.
You guys do know we have a thread for the PS Vita, right?
You filthy Sony fanboys! You're all a bunch of grafx horz!
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I'm more interested on the capabilities of this 4DS. Is Nintendo going in on time travel functionality for their next generation handheld?
Getting back on topic, I know it was being discussed in the Wii U thread but the Donkey Kong Land games are available on the 3DS VC this week in North America. Kind of fun to come back to those, even though in retrospect I don't think they don't hold up quite as well as their SNES counterparts.
MH 4 Ultimate was either sold out, or not within my price range.
I will take that into consideration if the sitch ever changes, though, since it's a rare day indeed that I can take advantage of multiplayer.
