Via copying the files to a computer and then pasting them into a Micro SD/Adapter.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerWell, Nintendo does have a guide to transferring data between two cards (which I've used twice, with no bad results other than loss of my photos. And by "loss", I mean that I didn't transfer them between the cards), but I don't think it'll be compatible with the New 3DS, depending on how that system operates. I'm waiting until they release more info about it (to the point where we can submit questions about it) before worrying about data transfers though.

Well i just tried copying data between my sd cards and it doesnt look like it worked
This guide is a little more complete than just copy and pasting data from the old card to the new card. Following it gave me no troubles when I upgraded the default SD card in my 3DS XL to a 16 GB one.
Crossposting from the Wii U thread:
You know what I'd like to see? The ability to connect a 3DS to the Wii U and play the games on a TV. The quality would suck, but I want my big screen 3DS goodness, dammit!

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."It might not be possible for all games. Due to the 3DS limitations. Maybe the New 3DS could do this?
You mean like the Super Game Boy and Game Boy Player? That might be nice with stuff like New Xenoblade and Golden Sun Dark Dawn.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerOh yeah, there are a lot of games which would look good on a big screen, even with all the stretching.
Which games? Smash Bros.?
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Y'know, with the NN 3 DS's enhancements over the regular one, what if GBA VC games are possible on that one?
When you wish upon a side of beef, soon will come an end to all your griefI'm in a bit of a dilemma with the 3DS. My current one is pretty worn out- the shoulder buttons hardly ever work (I can blow in them to get them to work for a few minutes but then they go back to not working), the back bumpers and circle pad have come off, and on occasion the screen goes washed-out with visible vertical lines, and sometimes it even shuts off entirely when under the wrong kind of stress. I want to replace it, but I'm not sure what the best thing to do would be. I could get my current one fixed (though this would of course mean losing access to my digital games until it came back- my mom has a 2DS that I could use for cartridges until then), or possibly get a refurbished one from Nintendo's website- or I could try to hold out with the current one until the New models come out and then get one of those. What would be the best option?
The best option would be to hold out for the New 3DS ones. Apparently alot of the newer games are taking advantage of the extra RAM, to the point a regular 3DS actually has to reboot every time it enters/exits the game. It is literally trying to hack its own OS to squeeze every last inch of power for a regular 3DS, which means no room for Mii Verse posts and whatnot.
Super Smash Bros for 3DS is one such game.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Do we know when the N3ds is coming to the U.S.? Cause it's about time I upgraded.
Louder than God's revolver and twice as shiny.Sometime next year in NA and the EU, though Australia's getting it November 21st.
Eating a Vanilluxe will give you frostbite.Yesterday I learned that the themes gallery updating has a pink notification. So I guess I can stop just checking daily.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerHuh. I wonder why U.S. has to wait longer.
Louder than God's revolver and twice as shiny.Presumably they want to clear out remaining stock during the holidays so that retailers are willing to order more. I'm guessing that they wanted to launch it in the west with Smash or ORAS, but were unable to do so for that reason.
Skyward Sword theme is coming. Hopes are raised for a Mario Galaxy theme.
finally. i just hope it comes here soon
I AM SHOVING MONEY AT MY 3DS WHERE'S MY DANG THEME ALREADY
I'm the guy who knows how to make games but doesn't. 3DS FC: 2878-9776-7579The next game I plan to get for the 3DS is Fantasy Life. It releases this Friday in North America.
I don't know which life I will start out with.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureFrom what I hear, you can change them whenever you want so don't worry about it.
I know you can change them whenever. But I plan on using that life for a while so I want to choose something that I would like.

I think you have to transfer it to a Micro SD card. I don't think the New 3DS uses SD cards.
Had to edit because this post couldn't have been on the previous page.
